"For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil." (1 Peter 3:12)
Oh Lord, I pray that we will learn what it means to get right with You while we still have time. Tomorrow is not promised to anybody. We cannot say that tomorrow will be the day that we will get right with You and repent, for today is the day of our salvation. I pray that this will sink down into people’s hearts and minds. Then, will they listen to Your wise counsel and be moved to live differently. As for me, I love it when You speak to me and show me the way. Without You, I am blind and have no way of finding my way in this darkened world. Therefore, I pray daily that You will take my hand and lead me on the path of righteousness. Chastise me as You will. Rebuke me when I go astray or fall into sin. I know that there are only two paths I can go down. One leading to destruction and hell and the other leading to Your light, which is heaven. Yes, God, scatter the darkness, that only Your light will abound. Even now, I am alone, my wife and kids, being across the country. In this time, I ask that You keep my eyes fixed upon You. Don’t let me deviate from Your path and do things that I will later regret. You can see everything. Nothing is done in secret. My flesh may be weak but is made strong with You in my life. I can do all things because You strengthen me and give me ways to overcome the enemy. Lead me from temptation. Help me endure in the faith, even until the end. I love You. Amen.
Oh Lord, I pray that people will have their eyes opened to the things that are happening in the world. That they will not get sucked into something that they will regret in the near future. I have had countless people try to push the COVID vaccination upon me, but since the beginning, You have helped me know that it is wrong. Thank You for revealing this to me and for allowing me to get through to many different people just in the nick of time. Thankfully many people in my workplace have not gotten the vaccine and are against it. This makes sense since we are Christians and rely on You for our guidance and not the government. People fail us in this life, but You never do. We are led astray by countless numbers of people and organizations, but never once by Your hand. Therefore, I pray that I and others will not be led astray again. Give us eyes to see. Help us be wide awake so that we do not do things that we know are wrong. I am grateful that You have opened my eyes to the problems that relate to the COVID Vaccine. It surely changes our DNA and causes issues in people that get it. Lord, I pray for every person who is suffering because of the vaccination. Help my friend Tracee who is experiencing stomach pains. Help those who have developed bell’s palsy and other medical conditions. May they be healed through their faith in You. I love You. I trust in You, God. Amen.
Oh Lord, I thank You for saving me. I was so lost before You found me. I was heading down the path of destruction, but You caught hold of me just in time. It was as if I was jumping off a cliff and not even realizing it, but You caught hold of me and placed me on Your holy and righteous path which leads to heaven. You are so good, God. How can anyone deny that You are Lord and alive? You speak to me so often when I read the Bible, pray, and do Your will on earth. It is like I am hearing, “well done, keep up the good work, my son”. Thank You, Lord, for trusting in me. I never wish to go behind Your back again and do my own things. I have learned my lesson well when it comes to going after the lusts of the flesh instead of obeying You. Your wrath is real, for this reason, I fear the Lord. Yes, God, I respect and honor You so much as to not go down the same path again which leads to destruction. After this life, I only wish to hear the words in person, “well done, keep up the good work, my son”. Then, I will know that my life was completed as You purposed for my life. I could choose other things that would bode well physically, but all that does nothing for me if I do not have You in the next life. I wish to fulfill every opportunity You have for me. That is why I seek Your wisdom daily. I love You. Amen.
Oh Lord, I pray that we will all come to You with open arms if we have not already. That we will lay down anything that is keeping us from believing in and following You completely. If said things are addictions, bad habits, false beliefs, family traditions, possessions, or money. That we will lay them down at your feet. That we will no longer be tied down to things that don’t matter when we die. Because You died for me, there is hope for this life and the one to come. And because the Holy Spirit is with me now, I am able to do Your will as it is in heaven. Praise be to God for trusting in me, though I have not always been good to You. I give You thanks for Your sacrifice on the cross, of which started off the new covenant with every believer. Because You have died for my sins, I covenant with You, my God, that the laws which You write upon my heart and my mind, I will do. I will not get caught up in my own things but lay them aside for Your glory. And because I now have a map to follow in this life, I am sure to not willfully sin like before. All because You have my hand and will not let me fall. Thank You, Lord. Thank You, God. You got me and I am so grateful. I love You more than anything. I give You praise!. Amen.
Oh Lord, You are God and I worship You. Thank You, Jesus, for coming down to this earth, in order to redeem Your people and the gentiles from their sins. Some people may have a hard time believing that You ended the importance of high priests through Your blood, but the book of Hebrews makes this clearly evident. As the writer suggests, I agree that You are far better than any high priest ever was on earth. Because You brought into the world the new covenant, I don’t have to worry about coming to a priest for confession or for my sins to be forgiven anymore, but You alone. You are our mediator between the Father and us, and I am grateful to come to You now. Do a work in me that You deme important, not myself. Cleanse me of all my sins through Your blood. Remove every dead work from my life, that Your good works will spring forth. I only wish to do Your will, not the desires of the flesh. And God, keep me and my family from harm’s way. Do not let the enemy take us down, but keep us on Your holy and righteous path. Only You are capable of leading me and others from temptation. I need You, Lord, every day of my life. Come and rest awhile with me. Feed me with Your bread that never goes dry. I need a drink from the wells of living water that only You can give me. I love You, Lord. I give You praise and honor, this day and forever. I trust in You, God. Amen.
Oh Lord, I pray that we will all begin to acknowledge You as our high priest and not any person on earth again. Because You fulfilled the old law and ushered in the new covenant, the role of the high priest was over. Their sin offerings were no more, for You are the Lamb of God. I believe what the Bible says when it reads that You came to take away the sins of the world. I look to You, Lord, in faith. No other person can fulfill me as You can. I want more of You and less of me. Have Your way in my life. Do a new thing in me, that others may see the difference You are making. I may do good on earth, but it is only through Your willpower in my life. The truth is that I cannot do anything good on my own. I fail all the time. That is why I pray, God, that You will lead me from temptation. Keep me on Your righteous path. One day, I hope to be with You in heaven. Not just in paradise and on judgment day, but forever with You, the Father, the Holy Spirit, angels, and other believers. What a glorious day that will be. Especially if I would be made worthy in Your sight to enter in. As for my life now, if I am doing anything that goes against Your will, let me know immediately so that I will repent and get right with You. I would never wish to willfully sin, day after day, without knowing. And continue to conform my beliefs to be Yours also. I love You, Lord. I trust in You. Amen.
Oh Lord, You are so good to us. We are all like the sands of the sea and You still love each one of us. You are such a good God, and I pray that more people will come to know You before they take their last breath on earth. For only You have the power to save us from our sins, even the uttermost on this earth. There are many paths we can take in this life, but only one will lead us to You, God. That is why I would rather put my trust in what the Bible says than anything else. Your words are a lamp unto my feet. They lead me into green pastures where I am safe from the enemy. Because You speak through Your words still, You are able to guide me and give me wisdom. Thank You, Lord. I give You thanks, my King, and my High Priest. Through Your sacrifice on the cross, the need for high priests has ended. Their role came to an end because of the cross. Thank You, God, for taking away the sin offerings and for dying on the cross for me. This sacrifice may have happened over two thousand years ago, but still, it remains forever. Even for all generations will Your sacrifice remain intact. Thank You. You saved a wretch like me and I am so grateful. I love You, Lord. I give You praise and honor this day and forever. Amen.
Oh Lord, I pray that there will be many more people who receive the gospel and are saved, than those who reject it and go to hell. I am afraid that the majority of people that die are waking up in hell, which is very sad. They had a choice in this life to believe in and follow You, Jesus, but they chose a different path. I wish I could reach these types of people before they take their last breath, and know that You will lead me to many of them still. There are certain people who are anxiously looking to do what is right, so when they hear the good news of the gospel they respond with joy. Praise the Lord. Yes, God, these are people I love to meet on the streets and on social media. Not those who wish to heckle me in the faith. People who like to bring up conversations in order to argue with me are not worth it. Unfortunately, I may be the last people they talk with about Jesus and they denied their chance to be saved. That saddens me to think this. To think, God, that many people have been so close to giving their lives over to You these many years, but something insides of them stood in the way. Yes, their flesh gained control and didn’t wish to give up their worldly lusts for You. Thankfully, there are some who hear about You, Lord, and are saved. Thank You for them. I love You. Amen.
Oh Lord, I pray that You will do a work in me that has never been seen before. Cover me with Your blood, that was shed for us on the cross. Sanctify me and cleanse me of all my sins. Have mercy upon me a sinner and forgive me of my sins. I look to You in faith. It is my prayer that You will keep me from harms way. I wish to live for You now and no longer the world. Lead me from temptation. Help me to see the eternal prize at the end of the tunnel. I know that you are preparing a place for those people who believe in You, Jesus, and also do as You say. So I ask, will You also prepare a place for me? Please open Your doors, that I may also be welcomed home one day. I wish to be in a place where I can hear the angels and the saints singing. Where all creation is singing and blessing Your Name, forevermore. I also praise You, Lord, and no one else. I worship You, God. I give You glory. Halleluiah! Thank You for coming into my life and for saving me, Lord. Remember me when I take my last breath on earth. I wish to enter Your rest in paradise. I love You, Lord. Oh Lord, I pray that I will remember the Sabbath day each week and keep it holy. I know that I have been lacking when it comes to remembering You in that way and I am sorry. Help me to enter Your rest each week. I know that I was born and raised to believe that I needed to rest on Sunday, but today you have put in my heart to rest on Saturday. That this was the Sabbath day since the times of Moses on Mount Sinai when You gave Him the Ten Commandments. Lord, I am grateful for Your Words in the Bible. If I had not read Hebrews, chapter 4, today I may have kept doing my own things on the Sabbath day instead of keeping it holy. This chapter has opened my eyes to my sins and I am so sorry. I only wish to enter into Your rest now. Help me know exactly what You would have me do on that day, while I give up working and going places where people work. I know that You have said that doing good is welcome on that day, so please help me know what things are good in Your sight as I honor the Sabbath. I trust in You. I honor You. I love You, Lord. I give you everything. Amen.
Oh Lord, help me and others finish the race while in this life. There are so many things that often get into my way and others when it comes to following You completely. And instead of pressing into You while we can in prayer and reading the Bible, we forget these things. And so sin takes us down a dark path, where death takes a hold of us when we are not prepared. This greatly saddens me to think that so many people who were once sold out for You have died in their sins. They had a chance to die and enter Your rest and instead are now suffering in hell. Judgment then awaits those who are in Your rest or in hell, which is only pleasant for the righteous. Lord, I look forward to You calling my name and saying, “well done, thou good and faithful servant”. That is why I look to You each day in the faith. I would never want to hear the words, “depart from me, you worker of iniquity”. Therefore, my heart is open to receive You fully in my life. My heart was once hardened against You in different ways, but that has all been undone. You have come in and rescued a lost soul such as I. Only You could place me on Your righteous and holy path that leads to heaven. I believe in You, Lord. I trust in You above all things. Give me wisdom and guidance and I will do as You say. I love You, God. Amen.
Oh Lord, I love You and am so grateful for Your sacrifice on the cross. Thank You for dying for my sins and for the world also. I am just grateful that I was important in Your eyes, as to die for me. I know that I have not always lived a life pleasing in Your sight. I have done a lot of wicked things that I know that You have been upset about. For this reason, have I confessed my sins over the years, that You may have mercy upon my soul. Even now do I do sinful things that I realize are wrong afterward and pray that You will forgive me. I am not perfect, but pray that I will be shielded from the fiery darts of the enemy. I trust that You have the power to lead me from temptation every time I call upon Your Name. My flesh may be weak on my own right, but I am made strong in Your presence. Keep my eyes fixed upon You, that I may not go astray. I love Your presence and need more of You and the Holy Spirit in my life daily. Nothing I have in the flesh is worth more than my time with You in the Bible, prayer, worship, and in doing Your will. I am so much happier when I have listened to Your guidance and done what You have said. Not only are other people blessed, but I feel overly blessed for what took place. Lord, use me for Your kingdom. I want more of You and less of me. Light up my life, that other people may see You in me. I trust in You, my King. I love You so much, my Lord. Amen.
Oh Lord, I pray that we will remember that You are alive, Jesus, and that You are able to answer all our prayers in the times we are living. In the Old Testament times, people didn’t have the luxury of calling upon Your Name for answers. Because You had not come into the world yet, they could only look to a promised Messiah, who would come in the near future. And You did come, Lord, even as a babe to Mary and Joseph. You didn’t come as a king but as a humble servant on earth. I am so amazed by the life You lived and I pray that I may also live like You did. I know that I will never be perfect, but I will continue to strive to live in Your holiness. Abide in me, my Lord, and King. Sup with me a little while, that I may learn from the King of glory. You died for my sins and the sins of this world, and we don’t thank You enough for what You really did for us. But as for me, thank You, Jesus. Thank You, Lord, for suffering so much on the cross that I might live and be forgiven. As You now sit on the right hand of the Father, I can see that You are waiting for Your true believers to listen up and follow You. I am Yours, God, please lead me by the hand. Help me throughout my life to know the way and to not be led astray by false teachers and the enemy. I want nothing to do with their evil schemes but what You desire to teach me. I believe in You, Lord. I trust in You. Amen.
Oh Lord, I pray that Your love and peace will rest upon our souls. Help us to love like You love others. May people in the faith see You in us, that we may have a chance to converse and pray with them. I know that there are many Christians out there that desperately need someone to talk to and to receive prayer. To these people, I pray that You will put them on my path. This way I will get a chance to bless them and to make them feel welcome in the faith. Now, since I do not always know who this person may be, I pray that You will help me be a light unto every person I meet in and out of the faith. For even people out of the faith need to see You in us, for them to even want to know more. If we are conceded and into ourselves because of our religion, this will only end wrongly. I’ve learned this over time when pride has taken over my life. Thankfully, You have come and humbled me. Each day I need You to help me be even more humble and to always remember to give You the glory. I may be doing great things by Your hand, but You deserve all the recognition and the glory. I deserve nothing, for You have done it all through me. I am only Your servant. Thank You, Lord. Thank You for abiding with me, even though I don’t always deserve it. You are so patient with me. I trust in You, God. I love You. Amen.
Oh Lord, I pray that we will remember to keep Your laws and statues, no matter if they seem hard or not what we wish to do. As for me, my immediate family is very big into keeping genealogies, but I know in Your word that this practice is wrong. So how am I supposed to treat my family who continue in this practice that is false? I know that I need to treat them with respect, but I know also that I am supposed to help people understand Your truth. So I ask that I might do so in a way that is kind, loving, and respectful. Help me to be patient with them if the topic does come up and that my reason for saying it is wrong is based on Your Word, the Bible, and not my own opinion. What I think can get me into a lot of trouble, but if it comes from You, then the Holy Spirit will back me up. This I believe, Lord. You will always come through when I open my mouth to teach from the Bible. I trust in You, Jesus. You are the rock upon which I stand. Lead me in the ways of righteousness and help me to not go astray. Traditions can be good and all, but not if they go against what has been taught in the Bible. I’d rather follow You than anything else. I trust in You. I love You, Lord. Amen.
Oh Lord, I pray that Your words will come alive in us. That they will take off in our minds and in our hearts, that we may really learn from Your hand and not our own thinking. Give us wisdom, as we come to You daily in Your Word. All I desire is to learn from You and not what the world tries to teach me. Through the Holy Spirit, I am able to love my wife and my children, as I love You, God. My devotion to living in Your will is seen in the lives of my family and others. Thank You for searching my heart and for removing the things in my life that were not needed. I never needed to watch TV, but to read the Bible instead. I didn’t need to play video games, but to come to You in prayer instead. I didn’t need to spend time surfing the web and watching pointless videos when I could fill up my life with good things that come from You. All this free time has allowed me to learn from Your mighty hand. In worship, I have learned what it means to really love You and do as You say. I praise Your holy, Name, God. You are the one that keeps me sober-minded, holy, and chaste. Keep me in Your love. I love You, Jesus. Amen.
Oh Lord, I pray that more people who are lost in false religions and cults will be saved. I know that it is impossible while they stay attached to it, so I pray that more people will be removed from them and come to You alone, Jesus, for salvation. Man-made religions are a killer in this society that we live in. So many people are starting up cults here and there, often for money reasons. Others become very big because of their feel-good messages and their teachings that only uplift. The thing is, God, is that their false reality of You, God, is unable to save them. They cannot leave out hell and the lake of fire, just to keep people coming to church. Leaving out repentance and getting right with You in this life also needs to be preached, but often isn’t. And other false religions have decided that they would save people on their own right through baptisms and marriages for the dead. This is an abomination and I cannot believe people are falling for such lies. I can’t even imagine how you must feel about these false doctrines and practices when it comes to the Mormon Temples. All I know, God, is that I wish to lead as many of them out of this false religion and to You alone, Jesus. Open their eyes and ears God. Help them find their way in this darkened world. I believe in You. I love You. Amen.
Oh Lord, my God, and my delight. I worship You. I give You praise. You are worthy. Have Your way in me, my King. Set me on Your righteous and holy path this day and forever. Keep my eyes fixed on You, Jesus. I am able to distinguish the light from the darkness when You are working through me. I love You, Lord. You are so good to me, even though I never always deserved it. It is awesome to know that You want to do great things through me, even though I have sinned greatly in Your sight in the past. Your forgiveness and mercy is beyond my understanding. How patient and long-suffering are You? I am just so grateful to be Your servant on earth. I pray that every person that I am able to talk to will have an open heart to at least one day receive You. May more people be saved and go to heaven also when they die. Oh Lord, I pray that people will begin to wake up to their sins. I am afraid that too many people who believe they are saved are not. That because they live in a willful sinful state, they have chosen a life without You. If they simply got a slap in the face or water splashed in their faces, maybe they would wake up and say sorry. Yes, God, You deserve to hear our sincere confessions, not a person confessing to their priest in order to just do the same sinful act again. This is meaningless and I cannot believe this blasphemy is still happening today. Where is purity in people’s lives? Are people even desirous to live a life pleasing in Your sight anymore? I know that I am but am also ridiculed as being a Jesus freak because of it. If people just knew what they were saying, then they would also want to be a Jesus freak also. What does this mean, it means that I want to live in Your presence and do Your will above all. The flesh is weak, but it does not have to ruin what I have with You, God. I’ve been addicted to pornography before, but I know how it turned my heart away from You, so it has become wicked in my sight. Along with this sin, the sin of homosexuality is plaguing this world like a sore thumb. What is even more awful is that there are churches that support it. Wow! I still cannot believe churches have stooped so low. Wake them up, oh Lord. I believe in You. I trust in You. I love You. Amen.
Oh Lord, I pray that You will help me remain faithful until the end. The flesh is weak, but You are able to make me strong to resist temptation. From reading the Bible daily, I have learned so much wisdom from You. You have helped me rightly divide the truth when it comes to false teachings and what Your words really say. Thank You for leading me in the truth and for pulling me out of every false way. I want to do Your will above all now. Keep me on Your righteous path that Your peace may strive within me. Help me to be humble, patient, and teachable, but never falling for the lies of false teachers. You are above all this, God, and are capable of leading me by the hand, even into greener pastures. I may think that my life is good now, but it can be even better if I simply remain faithful to You. Nothing in this world can compare with Your presence. I am happy when You are near, but sorrowful when You are gone. Thankfully, Your Spirit remains with me still. I have done some very bad things, and You know what they are. You are so patient to not give up on me. As I’ve prayed before, please forgive me. Don’t allow my past sins to cause a right in our relationship. I am all in now. You are my God and I will follow You till the end. I love You, Lord. I give You glory and praise, this day and forever. Amen.
Oh Lord, I pray that You will keep me safe from the enemy. Keep me on holy ground, that I may not fall victim to the evil schemes of the enemy. It is so hard to get those evil thoughts out of my mind when they are placed there, but with You in me, these thoughts have to leave. For darkness cannot abide in Your light. Your light is stronger than any impurity that may try to enter in. Therefore, all I desire is to be in Your presence at all times and in all places. Keep me upright so that falling is not an option. This life can be hard, but it is also that much more bearable and easier to go through when You are with us, God. Even when persecution rises, I won’t have to worry about suffering on my own, for You will be suffering right there with me. Your peace is beyond my understanding and I am grateful that it is for me also when times are difficult and when times are good. I need Your peace and guidance all the days of my life. What lies ahead of me is unknown, but I do know that what comes my way will be for my learning and growth in the faith. I don’t fear people or even death. If You have me, then I know that my place will be with You in heaven someday. I believe in You. I trust in You, God. I love You. Amen.
Oh Lord, I pray that You will be ever with me. Help me to not be led astray by money, the things of this world, and into false beliefs. Teach me how to live my life for You daily, and I will do as You command. I’ve had opportunities in life to become very rich, but not once did it seem right in that moment. There was always a compromise with the riches I would gain. And if there is ever something I have to compromise with my faith, it is simply not worth it. You mean more to me than all the riches in the world. It is also not worth leaving my family for a time, in order to earn more money. This is simply a selfish act that would keep me from seeing my beautiful wife and children for a time. It is hard to believe that people can give in to these temptations and leave everything they have worked for behind. As for me, I am grateful that You have not let me go astray when it comes to money. Sure, I still need to learn how to be more content with the money I have and not spend it so easily. Help me in this area and others that I am lacking also. I realize that I am not perfect, but far from it. That is why I need You every hour. Come abide in me this day and forever. I can choose what is right when You are guiding me. I love You. Amen.
Oh Lord, help me to love one another as You do on earth. May I learn to see people as You do. So many people are treated unkindly and that needs to stop. So do a wok in me like never before. Help me to see every people’s worth, and not as my flesh sees them. We often find ourselves very busy in this world and tend to be to ourselves when other people are suffering and need our help. We also judge people so often before we really meet them. I can just imagine how people are feeling after we have made them feel so terrible inside. These are the things that are I pray stops. There is already so much ridicule happening in the lives of non-believers, and I pray that we can be a light instead. And if this is happening behind closed doors with people in the church, I pray that they will repent and get right with You, oh Lord. Only by coming to You often in Bible study, and prayer, can You teach us how to live a holy and righteous life. Not a religious life, but a changed life for You. And as we step foot in this darkened world, help us to begin to treat the younger generation as our brothers and sisters. Even the older generation as our father and mother. If we meet a person who is widowed, that we will be so respectful to them and their loss. You can help us do all this, of which we will make a difference in this world. I trust in You, God. I love You. Amen.
Oh Lord, I pray that we will continue to be nourished by our father on earth and especially You, God. I am grateful for what my earthly father has taught me and raised me to become and know. He may have passed away, but he will never be forgotten. Surely, he is in a better place now. It is hard to believe all the grandchildren he and my stepmother has now. She may be alone, but still has all her children so close to her. I love my time with my second mother and am grateful to have her in my life still. My mother may have passed away also, but I still remember her and my father like it was yesterday. Lord, You have blessed me with the most loving parents. It is just sad that I cannot call my father up and tell him Happy Father’s Day. I can tell my brothers, who are fathers, and that is awesome, of course. I just know that this life is short. It is like a vapor. We are here one day and not the next. Even with my wife and my young girls, I love them to pieces. However, I just don’t know much longer I will be with them. I pray that I have been a good father to my children and that they remember the things I’ve taught them. May they never forget the importance of knowing You, Jesus. I pray that my children and my wife will come to a saving knowledge of what You have done for them. I am Your child and pray that my wife and my kids will also be in heaven with me when I eventually pass on from death to life. I believe in You, Lord. I trust in You. I love You. Amen.
Oh Lord, help me shine Your lights for all to see. You are my God and I wish to bring others to know You. Thank You for saving my soul, by forgiving me of all my sins. I don’t deserve Your love, but You continue to be patient throughout my life. I know there are days that I struggle and can’t find my way, and I am grateful that You have given me a roadmap to live by, which is the Bible. Whenever I feel like temptation is too strong, picking up the Bible and reading it really helps. You have certainly done a great work in the lives of every writer and person referred to in the Holy Bible. I am just grateful to have Your guidance in my life. Even through prayer, You have helped me gain more insight when it comes to each verse’s doctrines and teachings. I love to learn and to be led by You is something special. You have allowed the Holy Spirit to guide me into all truth, of which I love to teach on and lead people to know for themselves. The Spirit of God is upon me, and I pray that many more souls will see You in me and be saved. Help us all to walk in Your holiness, purity, and righteousness. That we will not despise what You have called us to in the faith, but live it out daily. If people are not reading the Bible daily, may they begin today. If they are not praying often, may they begin today also. You are the light that shines in my life, and I pray that Your light will enter others also. I love You. Amen.
Oh Lord, thank You for the pastors in my church. I pray that You will be with Him and continue to lead Him by the hand. His desire to have this calling in the church is very nice to see in this generation. Where there is so much sin that abounds, it is nice to know that these men are out there instructing us on how to live a life that pleases You and not the world. So often our flesh takes control of our lives, while leading us to do things that we know are wrong. This leads people to justify their actions, while they continue to look at pornography, masturbate, have affairs, and get drunk with alcohol. People of the church do these things and it is awesome to hear sermons that teach against these sins, while leading them to repent. To call upon You, Lord Jesus, that they may be forgiven. Only through You, can people be washed and be made clean. Even given a new heart with new desires, which helps them live different lives. Pastors and bishops that are teaching this way are doing Your will. They are Your servants and are leading Your flock the way You would. Thank You for these men. May they continue to seek You daily. That they may also not fall victim to the temptations of the devil. For we know that after we have fallen into sin it is so difficult to share the gospel, let alone give a sermon in church. So I pray for my church pastors and elders. Give them wisdom and strength to overcome temptation. I love You, Lord. Fill me up also with Your wisdom and strength. Amen.
Oh Lord, I pray for the sake of every person in this world. We were each created for a very special purpose. Unfortunately, not every person realizes their potential with You in their lives. I wish that people would be drawn to know You as their Lord and Savior, but I am afraid that I can only make supplications for their needs. Help them find what is most important in life, which is knowing You and doing what You say is right and holy. As I intercede, even now through the Holy Spirit, I ask that You will touch people’s lives that are open to receive You, Jesus. Help them find the right path which leads to heaven. Lead them away from the darkness that is in their lives now and into Your abundant light. Help these people understand that being a Christian does not have to be difficult. Sure, it can be hard upon family and friends that don’t understand what it means to have a changed life for Christ. Our speaking of Jesus may not be taken in with thanks, but pushback, but this is all for You, God. We know that our journey may not be easy, but it is always worth it. We may be persecuted, spit on, and even killed for what we believe in, but it is why we live. To die in the Lord, is our gain, God. We thank You for saving us and forgiving our sins. We owe everything to You. We love You, God. Amen.
Oh Lord, I pray that we will come to know Your desires and not what our family traditions are leading us to believe. One tradition in my family was genealogical work for the dead, of which You have helped me understand that is all false and goes against Your perfect will. Thank You for bringing this to my attention, even though it was very difficult at first to accept that it was wrong. I can remember all the years of visiting my mother and her spending countless hours just translating people’s names, in order to submit them to the Mormon temple. In the beginning, I thought it was a great service to the Mormon church, but You finally opened my eyes. Over time, I saw this work in her life and other family members as having no Biblical foundation and, therefore, evil. Lord, You opened my eyes to the false teachings in the Mormon Church. Thank You, God. Through the Bible, I am able to realize for a truth that when we die, the day of our salvation has ended. We cannot justify that doing temple work, like baptisms for the dead, endowments, and marriage ceremonies can help them after they are dead. Surely, what we have done in this life is written down and sealed in our death. You know who believed in You and also did Your will. All others are unsaved and our prayers will not help them. I love You, Lord. I believe in You, Jesus. Amen.
Oh Lord, I love You and only wish that You would lead me in the ways of righteousness. I just know that my own desires get in the way so often and I am very sorry for this. In my own strength, I fall into sin and do things I know are wrong. That is why I come to You so often for help, that You may keep me strengthened and not let me fall. I know You understand what I go through in life and am so grateful for Your patience and continued forgiveness for my sins. It is my true desire to learn from You daily, even from the Bible, in prayer, and in church. Give me guidance and direction that will keep me on Your path and not let me go astray. I love my friends, but am willing to not hang out with some of them if they lead me to do things that are evil. Following You is more important than keeping any friendships with people. And help me know who and when to give to people. I get many requests to help people on Facebook and never really who needs help or not. Give me wisdom in these things and also when I am on the streets and encounter the homeless. I trust in Your guidance and direction. Speak to me, Lord. I love You. Amen.
Oh Lord, I pray that more people will not perish in unbelief in these last of days. May people who say they believe in You also build a firm foundation with You at the head of their lives. Help us all to not get caught up in politics, but in voting for the right candidates for office. As You have said in Your words, the Bible, there will be a great falling away because of a certain individual who will lift himself up to be like God. But those who have You by the hand will not be led astray by His lies and wonders upon the earth. I am made strong in You, Jesus, and not the things of this world, nor people who appear to be righteous on the surface. As people are so gullible with things that the government and people say to them, I have learned from You to judge them righteously. Surely, there has already been a great illusion of safety with masks and the coronavirus vaccination up until now, but I know that this is just the beginning. The world as we know it is changing, but I don’t have to go along with what is happening. You are my God and I will follow You no matter the costs. Keep me from harm’s way, but allow me to be persecuted as it is important for Christians to suffer for Your sake. I will not back down from the faith I have in You, even if it means losing my life. I love You, Jesus. I trust in You, God. Amen.
Oh Lord, I pray that people are abiding in You at this time. That their rest comes from You and not the things of this world. So many distractions are out there that only cause us to drift from the faith. Therefore, when You are near to our hearts, we are able to stay focused on the prize of eternal life. Yes, Jesus, we can’t wait for the day that You will welcome home the righteous. Those that love You, as I do also, can’t wait to be in Your presence for all eternity. It will be wonderful to be on the new earth and to enter the doors of the New Jerusalem. It will be extraordinary for sure. I can’t wait to experience the sights, the sounds, the tastes, and all other things that we will be able to do on the new earth. As You are Lord of the heavens and earth, It is amazing to think that we will be where You are, which is in heaven also. Angels are already so blessed to be Your servants in heaven, and even on earth for us now. Now, to think that I will be like unto them one day is amazing to even think about. Thank You for Your rewards on earth and all the things You bless us in daily. I can’t even fathom what blessings and rewards that await me and the righteous after this life in judgment. I know there could be punishment awaiting me, like unto the wicked, but You have spared me and forgiven my sins. Thank You, Jesus. Being with You now is all I ever wanted. Lead me safely home. I love You. Amen.
Oh Lord, I pray that we will prepare for Your coming. We may not know if we will be one of those people who will be alive when that day happens, but we will live for You each day nonetheless. If I am to die before that great and dreadful day, I will still see You. On that day, You will open all the graves of the righteous. To be among them, or be alive in that day does not matter. I just want to be raised up in the clouds to be with You, Jesus. Alive or in death, I will finally rise to be with You, my King. Lead, guide, and light up my life. Protect me from the enemy. Do not let the darkness of this world creep into my life. Build me up in Your armor, that I might fight against the enemy each time He strikes. As for alcohol or drugs, I will not let myself be tangled up in them. To remain sober-minded and not drunken in things like this is the least I can do for You, Jesus. Be near me all the days of my life. Help me to not stumble, but to walk faithfully for You. When this life is over, I pray that You will allow me to run to You, in order for me to hug You. I want You to know that I love You and that is why I live for You, Jesus. Amen.
