It is Satan that wants to break up families and tear up good relationships. He does not want the people of God to prosper upon the land, but to afflict them. In doing this, he makes people believe that living for the flesh and partaking in things like sexual sin is OK. This is when the wicked rise up and start pointing their fingers at the Christians. To the preachers, do they mock and have no ear to hear. To other Christians, they make evil appear good and invite them out to their parties. This is when people fall, because of unbelief. If they had been seeking the Lord daily, then no harm would fall upon them, however, because their days would go by without prayer or reading the Bible, would they be found a victim to sin and shame. Because they did not build themselves up in God’s armor, they could not overcome the fiery darts of the evil one. It is these same people that start to ignore God’s laws and start thinking that homosexuality and abortion is OK. They may even attend gay pride parades or have an abortion themselves and not even think twice about it. What they don’t realize is that God has a command that says, 2“thou shalt not kill.” (Exodus 20:13) It is also written, 3“thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.” (Leviticus 18:22) Each time I meet a person that says these things are OK, I ask them if they are reading the Bible and the answer is always No. So the reason why people have their own thoughts on what is good in this life is because God’s Words are not present with them. Therefore, their own thoughts on what is good and what is evil is formed. If God’s Word and prayer was present in their daily life, it would be a different story all together, as God’s will would be followed.
When it comes to the killing of unborn babies in abortion, a Pharaoh in Egypt, once thought this was right as well, and even commanded that every Israelite baby boy die. He mandated that every Israelite women should kill their own newborn baby boy. And because these men and women of God did not obey him, he had them killed anyways. It is a sad story and very similar to what happens today in abortion. The pharaoh 1“said, When ye do the office of a midwife to the Hebrew women, and see them upon the stools; if it be a son, then ye shall kill him: but if it be a daughter, then she shall live. But the midwives feared God, and did not as the king of Egypt commanded them, but saved the men children alive. And the king of Egypt called for the midwives, and said unto them, Why have ye done this thing, and have saved the men children alive? And the midwives said unto Pharaoh, Because the Hebrew women are not as the Egyptian women; for they are lively, and are delivered ere the midwives come in unto them. Therefore God dealt well with the midwives: and the people multiplied, and waxed very mighty. And it came to pass, because the midwives feared God, that he made them houses. And Pharaoh charged all his people, saying, Every son that is born ye shall cast into the river, and every daughter ye shall save alive.” (Exodus 1:16-22) This was an act of murder, just like abortion is now, and just as the women grieved because of this, God did also, along with what happens today. The wrath of God is upon those that abort children today also. His laws have not changed and people must fear him, while in this life, or be cast into the lake of fire, come judgement day. Don’t play with fire, but understand God’s will and obey him, starting today.
Let us pray:
Oh Lord, Your words in the Bible speak volumes on what is wickedness and what is righteousness. Meditating on what You’ve written through the holy prophets and other men of God, throughout centuries, has opened my eyes to what is truth in this world. I don’t have to wonder if abortion is wrong or not, since You’ve already said clearly that we should not murder. I also don’t have to worry if homosexuality is wrong or not, since You’ve said clearly that lying with the same sex is an abomination in Your sight. Saying otherwise would be playing with fire, for Your words have already convicted me of what is right and what is wrong. Surely, when the Bible is our teacher, the truth is black and white. How we ought to live our lives is spelled out, lest we fall into sin and shame. I am truly grateful for Your teachings in my life Lord. I am safe from the enemy, because Your words have led me into Your light and apart from sin. I no longer want to partake in the evil deeds of the wicked, but to lift up those in the faith, that they may follow You, Jesus. It is also my desire to lead the lost to You, Lord. May they hear Your words from scripture and be convicted of their sins. Then, will they fall down on their knees and worship You, Lord. You are my King and I pray that more people will give themselves over to You, starting today. Thank You for leading me to a man, who was willing to confess his sins to You on Friday. It was a blessing to share the gospel with him and to pray over him. Watch over him Lord and lead him out of darkness and into Your light. I love You Lord. All my trust is in You. You are my Savior and the Lord of my life. Amen.
