There is a special place for all the righteous in heaven. 4There are mansions in heaven but nothing like the ones on earth. His creation is far greater than we’ll ever know. The faithful followers of Christ can’t even fathom the good things 5“God hath prepared for them that love him”. Imagine living in a place where “there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain.” In this life, some people have to live a lifetime in sickness and disease. It is heart breaking to see such people suffer so much. Others live in consent fear for their lives. Because of their faith, they are ridiculed and persecuted continually. Even some to the point of death. These earthly trials can be terrible to bear but worth it in the end. To all those people that are in pain now, God wants to bear you up through prayer. He can ease the pain. Then when you reach your last breath He will welcome you in to paradise. Your devoted life for Christ will be will known among the angels and God. For you loved the Lord above all things. Your life for Him was worth living in persecution and sickness. Devotion to a loving and just God brings many blessings in heaven. 2On the contrary, a lifestyle that is against God’s laws will be open to the wide gate of hell. 6“The fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” 1God’s wrath is upon the wicked. Think about your life. What path are you on?
3If your heart isn’t for God then you are against Him. It is a terrible thing to be on the opposite side of God in judgement. Imagine, waiting to be called by the Lord and knowing your outcome is hell because of your unbelief in Him. Then seeing others in life being saved in heaven because of their great love for Jesus. You can overcome sin and death but only through Jesus Christ. He must be a priority in your daily life to know Him. Reading His words delight those that love Him. His words pierce the hearts of those living against Jesus, in order to bring them to repentance. If you have been touched by something you read in the Bible and don’t act on it, then these times will be counted against you. God speaks through every word. Let Him find rest in your heart that His words might sink in and take shape in your life. Know that it is a privilege for me to read the Bible. I look forward to discovering more about my great God in heaven and how to better serve Him. Jesus is the light that burns bright in my heart and all I desire is to honor Him. My love for the Lord has opened my eyes to His goodness. Jesus is worthy to be praised. I know that I was worthy of hell for what I once lived for but just as I was redeemed, everyone has a chance to be saved if they repent. I look forward to the day that I can live with Jesus forever in heaven. I don’t need much but the opportunity to bask in His glory forever.
Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I love You. I believe in Your Holy Name. I have overcome death because You have given me new life. Thank You. I will praise Your Name forevermore. Amen.
Let us read the Bible:
