I Forsook Not Thy Precepts

“They had almost consumed me upon earth; but I forsook not thy precepts. Quicken me after thy lovingkindness; so shall I keep the testimony of thy mouth. For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven.” (Psalm 119:87-89)

Many times in life we face challenges and trials that can cause people to stumble in the faith. Even in my life, I’ve had difficulties because of different temptations and difficulties in this world that I was almost overtaken by it. The wicked things of this world and pitfalls in life threatened me as it does many Christians. Satan uses these things to weaken us, that we might fall away from the Lord. Yet, despite everything I endured and did not forsake God’s precepts, along with millions of Chrisitans out there. Instead, we clung to Jesus as a lifeline in the midst of chaos. In prayer, I’ve made heartfelt pleas to God to revive me through His loving kindness. I recognize that it is only by receiving God’s grace and mercy that I can stay strong in the Lord and keep His testimony true in my heart. This is a reminder of our constant need for spiritual renewal and sustenance in order to remain faithful amidst life’s challenges. My friends, God’s word is settled in heaven, of which God wants to keep fresh in our minds. Even though difficult circumstances may change the outlooks of this world, God’s truth remains unshakable and everlasting. God is faithful and a source of hope in an ever-changing world. May this resonate with you as you navigate through your own trials.

“Thy faithfulness is unto all generations: thou hast established the earth, and it abideth. They continue this day according to thine ordinances: for all are thy servants. Unless thy law had been my delights, I should then have perished in mine affliction.” (Psalm 119:90-92)

It is important to acknowledge the Lord our God, and praise Him for His faithfulness all throughout our lives. God has established the earth, and it continues to abide by His ordinances. This gives us a sense of comfort and security in knowing that everything is under His control. It is important to know about God’s laws for mankind and keep them also. Many people have declared, including myself, that unless we found delight in God’s law, we would have perished in this wicked world. Finding joy and solace in God’s word can bring immense strength even in times of trials and tribulations. That is why it is important to stay engaged with God on a regular basis. This can be by reading the Bible daily and praying often. Reflect on your own faithfulness towards God. Are you constantly seeking His guidance through keeping His commandments? Do you find joy and delight in studying His word? Even amidst hardships, finding solace and strength through God’s presence can help us navigate through any challenge that comes our way. So examine your own perspectives on why obeying God is crucial for your spiritual growth and protection. Amen and amen.
