David Had Children From Six Wives

Since the beginning of time, God said, “therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.” (Genesis 2:24)

Today’s Prayer (01/18/2020)

Lord, it is my prayer that people will start reading the Bible for themselves. This way they will begin to know Your truths in Your Word, and no longer be deceived by the doctrines of men. I am very worried that too many people that say they are Christian are actually believing in false doctrines and don’t even realize it. It would be very sad to see these people go before You in judgment one day, not realizing that they were walking on the path of destruction when they died. This would be devastating, God. And it is not my wish that anyone should perish in their unbelief, but to know You and to find wisdom and understanding from the Bible. So wake people up from all religions, so that people will decide for themselves to know Your truth. Then, can You pour into them the Holy Spirit, that they may be led to know the truth from above. Truly, it is taught in scripture that Mary needed a Savior and therefore magnified the Lord. So we ought to also worship You, oh Lord, and not Mary. It is also taught that Mary was not always a virgin, but had her own family. So people that pray to the virgin May are very off track and need to repent. For surely, this is idolatry and is uncalled for in Your Kingdom, oh Lord. Convict such people to throw out there rosary beads. To break into pieces their idols of Mary and the Saints. Surely, we cannot walk in Your presence if we continue to do things of the flesh. So this day, I promise to allow You to cast out of my life anything that is contrary to You. And my prayer is that people in the Catholic faith will do the same. That they will begin to read the Bible daily, pray often, and come to You, as their personal Savior. I love You, Lord. Amen.

Matthew 13:54-56

Matthew 13:54-56 (KJV)
54 And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works?
55 Is not this the carpenter’s son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?
56 And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things?

Mary Was Not Always A Virgin

People may try to dispute the fact that Mary had her own children and say that those that do the will of the Father are called into His family, which is true.

Today’s Prayer (01/17/2020)

Lord, I pray that my thoughts will always be for You. That You will continue to lead me by the hand, and that the enemy will not overpower me. I do not wish to make the wrong decisions in life, which will only draw me away from Your presence. Doing this has only caused me to be in more pain and anguish than I desire. It also causes me to be full of guilt, because of my sins. Therefore, I know that in these times I have let You down and I am sorry. It is not my intention to go the opposite way in life but to be on Your righteous path. So I ask that You will forgive me, and not allow my flesh to fall down into sin because it is weak. You are my strong tower and my deliver, so I know that You can give me the strength to overcome sin, that I may no longer walk in it. And I come to You for full deliverance from the enemy. I need You in my life, Lord. Come and make a place in my heart, and in my mind, and in my soul. I love You, and I will show this through my obedience to You now. My ways are filthy, but if You are leading me, then they are righteous. Lord, I don’t only wish to be fulfilled in Your love, but also show Your great love to everyone I meet. Cause me to be filled with the Holy Spirit, that Your kindness, gentleness, meekness, love, compassion, mercy, and patience will be shown towards all people. No person will be excluded, for every wall is torn down with Your love in my life. Every person that has wronged me is now forgiven, and hardships are mended because You are working in me. I trust in You, Lord. I love You, God. I give You praise and worship You now. Amen.

2 Samuel 2:1-4

2 Samuel 2:1-4 (KJV)
1 And it came to pass after this, that David enquired of the Lord, saying, Shall I go up into any of the cities of Judah? And the Lord said unto him, Go up. And David said, Whither shall I go up? And he said, Unto Hebron.
2 So David went up thither, and his two wives also, Ahinoam the Jezreelitess, and Abigail Nabal’s wife the Carmelite.
3 And his men that were with him did David bring up, every man with his household: and they dwelt in the cities of Hebron.
4 And the men of Judah came, and there they anointed David king over the house of Judah. And they told David, saying, That the men of Jabeshgilead were they that buried Saul.

Go Where God Calls You

The story continues with David finding out who buried Saul and blessed the Lord for their kindness.

Today’s Prayer (01/16/2020)

Oh Lord, I pray that our hearts will be in the right place with You at all times. That we will not allow there to be any walls built up in our lives but allow You to tear them all down. And if it means that we ought to start showing more kindness towards others, put a spark inside of us, that we may do this. Every person in our lives deserves to hear that they are loved, that they are forgiven, that we are sorry for our actions, and how much we respect them because of all they do. Sure, it is fine to think of al the good things that people have done after a person dies, and this makes sense, but it makes more sense to start acting this way while that person still has breath. So Lord put inside of us a Spirit of forgiveness, kindness, compassion, longsuffering, gentleness, patience, and love. Shine down upon our lives Your light, that every person we encounter will have this same Spirit flow into their lives also. It is my desire that people will be touched by Your mighty hand each time that they have the opportunity to be around me. I don’t want it to ever be a hindrance upon people, but always a blessing. Just as You show us such love and respect that we don’t deserve, do I hope and pray that these same qualities will become a part of my everyday life and for all people that call themselves Christian. It is truly an honor to know You, Jesus. This is why I proclaim that I am Christian, for You are inside of me, guiding me by the hand. I am only strong because You have carried me forth in this life. I love You, Lord. Thank You for everything. All the praise and honor to Your Name, Jesus. Amen.

2 Samuel 1:23-25

2 Samuel 1:23-25 (KJV)
23 Saul and Jonathan were lovely and pleasant in their lives, and in their death they were not divided: they were swifter than eagles, they were stronger than lions.
24 Ye daughters of Israel, weep over Saul, who clothed you in scarlet, with other delights, who put on ornaments of gold upon your apparel.
25 How are the mighty fallen in the midst of the battle! O Jonathan, thou wast slain in thine high places.

Today’s Prayer (01/15/2020)

Lord, I love You and only wish to do Your will. If there is anything in my life that offends You now, please strip it from me. I do not wish to grieve the Holy Spirit, but to walk in Your ways, oh Lord. Dress me in Your robes of righteousness, that I may shine Your light in the darkness of this world. Cleanse me this day of any sins that I have committed, that it may be forgiven. I love You more than the things of this world. Nothing the enemy can offer me can take Your place, oh God. I have already experienced the pleasures that the world had to offer me, and only found temporary pleasure in such things, and also a lot of guilt associated with it. The worst thing of all is that these things drew me away from You. My time was wasted in the things I watched on TV, movies, the internet, and video games. And it all was of one word, FILTH. Yes, God, I was filthy because You were not with me. Sure, there may have been a portion of me that wanted to live differently, but I never showed it. I knew of You and even said I believed, but I was only lying to myself. I’ve learned that if I do not obey Your voice, while not allowing You to change my life, I am only a hypocrite in saying that I am a Christian. Truly, my sins cried out to You and I kept them hidden in my heart. So I want to tell You how sorry I am and thank You for rescuing a wretched person such as I. I did not deserve Your mercy, but You extended it anyway. You heard my confessions and had compassion for my soul. Thank You, Lord. All I want to do now is listen to You and obey Your voice. I love You, God. Amen.

James 1:21-23

James 1:21-23 (KJV)
21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:

Obey The Voice Of The Lord

Please know that when we stop listening to God, He also stops working in our lives. Therefore, the enemy has access to our lives, in order to hurt us physically and spiritually.

Today’s Prayer (01/14/2020)

Oh Lord, I believe in You and trust in you for answers. Even in my distress do I come to You for guidance and direction. I may not know what to do in my life when I know that the enemy is closing in, but You have a way to allow me to escape such things. Nothing that the enemy wants to throw at me, will ever stand up against Your will power for my life. I am stronger because You are with me. You give me encouragement when I cannot find it anywhere else. Thank You, Lord. For even when things are hard, You come in and lift me up, that my burdens may be light. There is no such bondage that I can ever be under that You cannot give me a way to escape it. For You are all powerful beyond measure. My hope is restored even under the hardest of circumstances, because You have given me an outlook on the situation that I didn’t see before, and are now helping me move forward. So in death do I trust that You know why it happened, and I put it in Your hands. When there is a robbery or theft, I trust that You know what we should do next. Even when jobs end unexpectedly, I trust that You know why this happened and I have hope that You, Lord, will help me find an even more suitable job for me and my family. It can be hard when trials face my family because of an addiction, but I know that you have the power to lead me or another family member out of it. We just need to keep praying and trusting in You, Lord, for answers. We may find ourselves with some hard decisions to make, but even these things are made more simple to do when You are there with us. Thank You, Lord. I love You, God. Amen.

1 Samuel 30:6-8

1 Samuel 30:6-8 (KJV)
6 And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God.
7 And David said to Abiathar the priest, Ahimelech’s son, I pray thee, bring me hither the ephod. And Abiathar brought thither the ephod to David.
8 And David enquired at the Lord, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.

In Trials, Come To The Lord In Prayer

It was because David prayed, that he got the answer he needed from God. Therefore, the Lord’s wishes came to pass. This is when David and his six hundred men went and pursued after the Amalekites.

Today’s Prayer (01/13/2020)

Oh Lord, thank You for making everything work out as it should, for You to come into the world, in order to save us from our sins. I am grateful that David listened to Achish and fled for his life when war was raging upon his city. Because of this, his lineage did continue, and You came into the world from Him. Oh, praise the Lord. All things work out for the good because You are our King and Lord of all. The enemy has no chance to take down the forces of God, for You are stronger. And with Your power in our lives, we can accomplish all things. For surely in our weakness, You make us strong. We can go forward in faith because You have our hands and are ready to fight the battles with us. You know exactly where we ought to go, so I am here to listen and walk where You will lead me. Guide all my steps, that I may walk uprightly in Your sight, and not fall victim to my own pride. In my flesh, I am weak, but You have the power to build me up, where I cannot. And where I have no power over sin, You have given me new desires and a clean heart to serve You. Surely, in myself I am nothing, but in Your will power, I am strong. Thank You for cleansing me and showing me a better way to live my life. I will go where You want me to go. If it means fighting for Your cause, I will do it. And if You would have me run from the enemy, I will flee by Your hand. My life is not my own, but Yours. My body is Your temple, so use me as You will see fit. May I fulfill this life, while walking in Your light and seeing many more souls be saved. I love to witness Your truths, so continue to give me boldness to speak to others. I love You, Lord. You are my God, and I worship You. Amen.

Matthew 2:13-15

Matthew 2:13-15 (KJV)
13 And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.
14 When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt:
15 And was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son.

Today’s Prayer (01/12/2020)

Oh Lord, it is my desire that people will understand Your will for their lives. That they will no longer believe in things that are contrary to Your will but accept only what You’ve taught us in the Bible. People can mess with what Your Word has said, but this does not mean that You approve of such things. Truly, tampering with the Bible is making a mockery of what You’ve said through the men of God over the centuries, by way of the Spirit. So I pray that people will come out of every false teaching. May they find Your truth and get on the straight and narrow path that leads to heaven. Then, will they be set free from every form of darkness in their life now, through Your mighty power. There is a prescribed way for us to live by, while in this life, and then go to heaven. This way of life comes through You, Jesus. Yes, Lord, we cannot go through any other person, but through You alone to be saved. Thank You for making this crystal clear for every person that reads the Bible. I also know that only in this life can we get right with You and be saved. There are no second chances, but only judgment that awaits us all. As You have spoken, my heart has been moved to repent and allow You to cleanse me from within. I no longer wish to grieve the Holy Spirit, but allow You to move in my life freely. Thank You for changing my life and for helping me understand that there is more to faith than just saying we believe. For belief in You is also how we seek You daily in prayer and follow You. All I know God is that if I was not obedient to what You’ve taught in scripture, that I would still be under the bondage of sin. But now You have given me new desires and a clean heart to serve You. And for this reason, I give You the glory and all the praise. I love You, Lord. Amen.

Romans 3:10-13

Romans 3:10-13 (KJV)
10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.
12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
