I Kept Thy Precepts

I have kept God’s commands for my life. When He speaks, I obey. God is a part of who I am, and I am grateful for His presence. Have you ever wondered what the percentage is of people who say they love Jesus and also do what He says? The answer is very low. Millions of people will say they love God, but in reality it is something they simply say without knowing the meaning. So I will help people understand the meaning. It means to love the Lord with our whole hearts and to act upon His wise counsel when given. In so doing, we remember the Lord and ask for forgiveness when we fall into sin. David wrote, “this I had, because I kept thy precepts. Thou art my portion, O Lord: I have said that I would keep thy words. I intreated thy favour with my whole heart: be merciful unto me according to thy word.” (Psalm 119:56-58) If only people read the Bible and knew what God has spoken. Only then would they acknowledge what He says and obey Him.

When we examine our own lives, we can see how far gone we really are in God’s sight. The sins we have committed over the years have now stained our lives. Darkness has covered us and only God has the power to save us. Jesus testified that He came to save us from our sins and to give us new life. So why not come to Him for this new life? I promise that if you run to Jesus and not look back, then He will give you living water, of which you will never thirst again. So make haste and come to King Jesus while you still have time. Don’t be that person who forgets God and regrets this in the next life. Lastly, David said, “I thought on my ways, and turned my feet unto thy testimonies. I made haste, and delayed not to keep thy commandments. The bands of the wicked have robbed me: but I have not forgotten thy law.” (Psalm 119:59-61) These are God’s Words given to us in David’s time and for all centuries until now. Learn from Him today. Amen.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray that people will turn from their sins and come to You with their whole heart. To not be known as someone who loves what the world offers, but what You give us. The peace You give us is beyond our own understanding. Each time I ponder upon You, my life is better. Things just make sense. Even when there is a death in the family, I know that this happens for each of us, even myself. That we cannot escape death, so why not live for You now. To give us things that are holding us back and get rid of those things for Your sake. The world needs to be delivered from the power of darkness in order to experience Your light. They need an encounter with You in order to be rejuvenated in the Spirit. Therefore, I ask that more people will go out in the harvest and reach these lost souls. To bring them to You, in order for them to be filled with the Holy Spirit and be saved. I love Your ways, God. May Your will be done as it is in heaven. Amen.

  1. Amen! It is good to keep the precepts of the Lord. We should come to Him now while we still can do so. Heaven awaits us if we do this. Hell awaits the unsaved people who rejected God. They will suffer forever but the righteous people will be in utter bliss forever. We need to keep the precepts of the Lord. His ways are good. They are perfect. I trust Him. We should trust Jesus Christ with all our hearts. We should always keep His precepts. He can save us from hell if we ask Him to do so. We must never forget Jesus Christ but always remember Him. This is the truth through and through. Turn to the Lord. Trust in Him at all times. God is a refuge for us. We need to love Him enough to obey Him.
