Are you actively living for God or the things of this world? Do you fight against sin or are your defenses down? Do you even try to resist the temptations of the Devil? Depending upon how you are living your life is what path you are on. 2There is either darkness or light in your life. Your life is led by what is most important to you. If your heart seeks goodness then the love of Jesus is there also. If your heart seeks after what pleases the lusts of the flesh, then guilt and shame is accompanied with it. Nobody loves to live in pain and suffering but still most people seek after things that bring about it. What does the heart truly desire? It desires to experience the fullness of joy. Inwardly, our soul wants to be lifted up and feel good inside. However, Satan disguises things like drugs, alcohol, and sexual sin to be very good. However, it is only wrapped up like a gift on the outside. What He doesn’t tell you is the filth and diseases that they hold inside them. There is temporary pleasure in addiction. Our flesh is stimulated in the moment. However, this feeling never lasts and you are never satisfied the same way thereafter. In the moments that you are pleasing yourself, other people are suffering. Your relationship with your spouse is severely hindered when addiction is in the mix. Even your kids don’t get as much attention, for fulfilling the desires of your flesh means more to you. Don’t people see the harm they are causing to those around them? Now think about what they are leaving behind. Not only have they chosen to sustain their addiction over those they love, but God is also nowhere to be found.
1If you have chosen a lifestyle that excludes God then you are on a path to destruction. Not only are you killing off relationships in your life, through your pride, but God’s relationship is severed. 4What you’ve once done for the Lord will mean nothing, if you are now living in habitual sin. You can’t say, Lord, but what about the mission trip I did 2 years ago. What about the homeless I fed a year ago. But Lord, I prayed for so many people 6 months ago. 1In all this, you could still be left on a path to hell if you aren’t doing the will of the Father now. If you were to die today and this was you, then Jesus may ask you, what have you done for me recently? All I see are your lusts being fulfilled. 3Your temple has been polluted by your addictions. My house is holy, you have no place here. Jesus said that 1“Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.” He said that 1“by their fruits ye shall know them”. These are those living a life for Him and not the world. They are not polluted by the things of this flesh. Jesus taught 1“not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” This could be you. Know that what you are doing now for the Lord is what matters. Believers of Jesus Christ also walk in the light. Through the blood of Jesus, they are made clean.
Let us pray:
Oh Lord, wake all those people up that are asleep. Many have gone astray but still think they are in good standing with You. They may not fear now but there will be much fear when they finally realize what they’ve done, in judgement. May that not have to happen. May people wake up now and repent before the hour is near. Lord, I know that what I’ve done for You is good, but what I am doing now for You is greater. I know that I cannot dwell in Your presence while in sin. Lord, You help me hate the sight of sin and fight against it. Sure, I don’t have these desires when I don’t seek You but when I do, I have armor to fight. Lord, I don’t wish to give up this fight. I wish to do the Will of God all the days of my life. Be the shining light in my path. Lead me safely home, oh Lord. You are worth more than anything this world offers. I love You more. Amen.

13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
28 And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine:
29 For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.
2Luke 11:33-36 (KJV)
33 No man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light.
34 The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness.
35 Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness.
36 If thy whole body therefore be full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a candle doth give thee light.
31 Corinthians 3:16,17 (KJV)

28 He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
