Seek the Lord with your whole heart. Ask God to help you stay on His path and not wander away from Him and His laws. You can know Him more as you listen and obey Him. Reading the Bible helps, especially when you hide the verses in your heart. This helps me not sin against God, especially when I add prayer time to my Bible study. Blessed is the Lord, our God, who teaches us His ways and also comes into our lives to help us. His judgments are real and I will declare them. People need to get ready to face Jesus come death. David also wrote, “With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments. Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. Blessed art thou, O Lord: teach me thy statutes. With my lips have I declared all the judgments of thy mouth.” (Psalm 119:10-13) Isn’t it so beautiful how these verses in Psalms are written down centuries ago and still impact us today? I love God and His Word.
I rejoice in God’s ways and the people He has used for His kingdom. There are great examples of the faith. What God gives is greater than all the riches in the world. His desires for us are greater than anything else we can achieve in this life. Each day that I seek Him, His ways become more and more like my own. I respect God in keeping His commandments. Each day I wake up and give God thanks for a new day to serve Him. I will not forget the Lord, for my love for Him continues into eternity. Therefore, I ask God to have His way in my life and help me remain faithful. Lastly, David said, “I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, as much as in all riches. I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways. I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word. Deal bountifully with thy servant, that I may live, and keep thy word.” (Psalm 119:14-17) These words from David fill me with so much inspiration from God. I love God’s Words. Amen.
Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I love You. You are so good to me and every person who calls upon Your Name. If only I knew You longer in this life, what I’ve done to sin against You would have never happened. But I know that You are a God of mercy. A God of grace and kindness. Slow to wrath and quick to forgive. You heard my cries and I had nothing left going for me but desires to get right with You. I was lost and darkness covered my life. There were chains upon me, which kept me clinging to the lusts of the flesh. But then You came to my rescue. I looked to You in faith and Your sacrifice on the cross meant everything to me. Because You bled and died for our sins, Jesus, I can live again and be with You, my bride in heaven. Thank You, Lord. It is my greatest desire to know and serve You. I am saddened my I talk to people who say they will just repent before they die, but live for themselves now. If only these people loved You and also did as You say. Please see my heart and how I love You, Jesus. Lead me safely home, God. Amen.
Those who have been forgiven much, love much. Oh how rich, deep and expansive are God’s mercies.
