The world we live in is so wicked and if you don’t have eyes to see, you will never notice one bit. As long as you continue to live your normal life apart from God’s will, then you will be blinded by what is before you. So many people that proclaim to be Christians aren’t even genuine either, but really wolves in sheep’s clothing. This is because, as much as they may go to church on the weekends, they live their lives no different than people of the world. What is their day like, you might ask, that God doesn’t approve of? Well, what they are looking at and playing on their phones, tablets, computers, and TV is not gratifying God one bit, but only pushing them away from Him. Do you think that the Lord, our God, is ok with you looking at pornography or living in sexual sin? Absolutely not, for it is adultery and abominable in His sight. Do you think He is ok with people spending all their time playing on their devices, including TV, absolutely not, for these things have become an idol for them, which God hates. Have you not heard what Jesus said about this? He taught, 1“Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” (Matthew 6:19-21)
It is true that what you are doing with your life now is either drawing you to God or away from Him. This is why some people that I am even speaking to now are also on the path of destruction and don’t even realize it. You may say, “but I go to church on Sundays. I have addictions, but I am trying to overcome them. I just don’t have a ton of time to read the Bible or pray, because I am so busy. Really, I love Jesus and He knows that.” Now, what do you make of this man or woman? If the Holy Spirit is in you, then you would know that it is what people do each day that makes them less busy for God. There is so much time to get into the Word and study it out, along with praying. We can even find time to go out and be a light to the lost, who are in need. How can this be? It is by not tuning into TV each day. It is by spending less time on your devices, including your phone. It is by cutting out the unnecessary things from your life, that are only distractions. It is by no longer watching anything or playing video games that have magic involved with it, are violent, and have sexual connotations in it. I say this because God has removed such filth from my life and I am much closer to Him now. The fact of the matter is that, as Christians, we need to be in the world, but not of it, and only Jesus can help us do this. So are you ready to start being faithful to the Lord, Your God, that You believe in?
Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I am so grateful to have Your continued guidance in my life. It is because You have led me out of the bondage of sin and slavery to my devices, that I am closer to You than ever before. There is so much more time to draw near unto You through Your Words in the Bible and to pray like never before. Thank You for delivering me from the idols that have ruled over my life for years, such as TV, my phone, iPad, computer, and gaming systems. All these things were only a distraction when it came to following You and doing Your will. And now that I have been lifted out of this wicked lifestyle, I’ve learned how to truly love You. And it is no longer just talk, but I want You in my life always and do what You say. It is not a chore to obey You, but because Your love is in my life, all I want is more of Your presence and less of me. I don’t want anything on TV, in video games, on the computer screen, or on my phone, to come between this beautiful relationship that I have developed with You, Lord. I pray also for every other person that says they are in the faith but haven’t done much with it yet. Help these people to put both feet into Your kingdom. May they be obedient to what You say, and not just hearers any longer. Give them a desire to listen and respond favorably to Your commands, as I love Your ways more than my own. Then, will they be convicted of all the idols and filth that has taken over their lives, and get rid of it, once and for all. All their obstacles are only cluttering our life and need to be removed, in Your mighty Name, Jesus. This I pray Lord, that You will fill others, as You have filled me with Your Holy Spirit. I love You, God with all my heart. I trust in You with my life. Amen.

Matthew 6 (KJV)
Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.
Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:
That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.
And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face;
That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.
Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.
But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!
No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
