The Lord God is calling us all to come to Him. No matter the circumstance in our lives now, Jesus is beckoning us to listen to Him and to come to His presence today. He says, 1“come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” There is nobody else that will free you from your burdens. There is no one that has the power to forgive your sins but Jesus, our Lord. Will you answer this call today? You may be heavy in your sins now, but all will be made light in the name of the Lord Jesus. He just asks that you come and put all your burdens at His feet and then He will do the rest. Don’t you worry about the past for the future is bright. Everything that once was will be washed away in an instant and you will be renewed. God will put you on a new path. With this newness of life, there is direction from above. We may have stumbled through life and were given over to the lusts of the flesh, but with God, it is over and we are overcomers. As we learn of Him, our decisions will be wise, for the Holy Spirit will be our guide. This new path is from God, which leads to eternal joy and happiness. Where we once relied on earthly pleasures, we now have joy while on earth and forever in heaven. Yes, the joy of the Lord never ends.
May this be calling to come to Jesus be your alter call this day. Will you come to the front and give your life to Jesus Christ today? Explain that you are sorry for what you have done and confess your sins openly to the Lord. Then ask Him to come into your life. That He may break you free from your addictions and all your bondage and replace it with His love. Plead for His mercy and forgiveness. Tell the Lord that you are sorry and need a Savior. In this moment of prayer, the Lord God will come to your rescue and make all your burdens light. Though you have been burdened by so many things, He will give you rest. Praying this prayer, in your own words, will be the best decision of your life. You will be secure on God’s path, through His mercy and grace. To give your life to Jesus is the best thing you will ever do. I pray that you do respond in favor to Jesus’s call today. Know that He is 3“the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” Only Jesus saves. Believe and trust in Him for salvation and eternal joy in heaven. 2If you have made a decision to follow Jesus, the angels are rejoicing. This journey in life may be long but with the Lord, we have hope to endure. We know that after we die and go to heaven that Jesus will wipe away all tears from our eyes. There will 4“be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying” but eternal happiness and joy.
Let us pray:
Lord, we come to You in all humility. Our hearts are open to receive You today. We confess that we are a sinner and have need of Your blood for forgiveness of sins. We cannot live in our addictions and shame any longer. Our burdens are heavy and we need Your yoke to come upon us. Have mercy upon us Lord. We are sorry for living after the lusts of the flesh and apart from You. Our soul cannot take it any longer and we want to be made free from all this bondage. Take us in Lord. Break us free today. Take every evil thought and replace it with Your knowledge and wisdom. Help us live a life that pleases You. Lead us and guide us and give us strength to endure. We need Your strength and not our own to overcome temptation. We know that we cannot do this on our own. We are lost without You. We need the power of God to save us from our sins. Thank You Lord for hearing our cries. We know that You are there and will deliver us this day. Take us now into Your arms. Lift us up, oh Lord. We love You, all merciful God and King. Amen.
