God has blessed us all with wonderful women in our life. These women could be our mother, grandmother, aunt, wife or child. You know the person that you love and respect the most and it is for different reasons. To these women, that are mother’s, we honor and bless on Mother’s Day. We have all encountered women that we love so much and look up to. This woman has always had your back when other people may have treated you unkindly. No matter the circumstance, you can go to this person and find peace. A moment in their presence is enough to calm your nerves. This can be similar to our encounters with the Lord in prayer and it is awesome to be with them. Like God, they also bring us joy. Proverbs 31, verse 10 reads, 1“who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.” You all know this to be true, because of these women that God has blessed us with. We look to them and God as a source of comfort in our lives. Often times, a man tries to find a women that is virtuous, like this women in his life. Beauty, in the eye of the beholder, is important but the way they live their lives and treat others is most important. It is so amazing that such wonderful women are out there. They see the example of virtue in their lives, much like those they were raised up with. These women have kept themselves for their husband. This is God’s way and a man to find such a women is priceless. It is a blessing to be with such a women, that loves the Lord.
To be married to a virtuous woman, is what all men that look to God look forward to. Rich or poor, this married couple is still happy, because they have each other and God’s peace in their lives. Proverbs 31 continues, 1“The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil. She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.” This is a virtuous woman, after God’s heart own heart. If your marriage is like this now, then praise God and give Him all the glory. If it isn’t then pray that your heart and the heart of your wife will change. I give mention of the man’s heart as well, because it takes two to show love towards one another. It takes two, to develop a relationship of trust. If there is no kindness in your heart or your spouse, pray for it now. It is said that a virtuous woman is found with 1“the law of kindness” 1“in her tongue”, but a husband must also show love in return. If there is one trait that a virtuous woman carries is this. 1“She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.” This women is a great example of love towards our neighbor. Even 1“her children arise up, and call her blessed.” It is awesome to see such a bond take place. All of these things are wonderful but 1“a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised.” This is a women that finds grace in the sight of God. May all women strive for this.
Let us pray:
Lord, thank You for my beautiful wife. I am so blessed to be married to a women that loves You and treats me and others with kindness and respect. Only You, Lord, could guide me to someone such as her. Thank You for leading me to such a virtuous wife. She is such a wonderful woman and mother to our children. You have come into her life and led her to do such wonderful things. My prayers have been answered. I am so grateful to have her presence in my life. I am complete with her love and Your presence. I am truly blessed, each day that I come home from work and spend time with her and my kids. I can surely accomplish much more with a spouse and children that honors You. My wife’s kindness is contagious and has helped me to love one another. May your love come inside this marriage, all the days of our lives. Lead me by the hand, that I may show her love and kindness. I trust in You Lord. I love You. Amen.
