It is very sad to see a person that was so faithful to God, but then die at such a young age or unexpectedly while in their prime of life doing God’s work. Many people see this happening to somebody they loved and cared for and wonder why this happened. Others blame God for allowing them to die this way. However, those that are filled with the Holy Spirit are sad, just as 3“Jesus wept” (John 11:35) when Lazarus died, but are also happy that they are now in a better place. My friends, our time on earth is short. Even I do not know the day or time I will leave this earth to be with God, but when it happens, I will not be fearful. Nor do I hope that people will be too saddened because I will finally be with Jesus. That is where I belong, in heaven to be with my king forevermore. This is what I live for and I pray that it is what others in the faith are also living for. Jesus is our only way to salvation, so get in touch with Him today like never before. If you desire to be saved, then allow Him to lead you straightway home to Him. We cannot be saved on our own, but need Him to lead us home. Jesus said, 3“I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?” (John 11:25,26) I sure believe this to be true. Do you? If you did, then you would believe in the name of Jesus unto salvation. Even your everyday walk would reflect Your love for Him and your neighbor.
A man that I know of that lived out his life for the Lord God was Josiah, a king. He was even so moved by what he learned from the law that God gave to Moses that he rent his clothes, knowing how far he and others were from obeying God. For this reason, he 1“made a covenant before the Lord, to walk after the Lord, and to keep his commandments, and his testimonies, and his statutes, with all his heart, and with all his soul, to perform the words of the covenant which are written in this book. And he caused all that were present in Jerusalem and Benjamin to stand to it. And the inhabitants of Jerusalem did according to the covenant of God, the God of their fathers.” (2 Chronicles 34:31,32) He then went on and carried out the most spectacular Passover for God. It was so grand that 2“there was no passover like to that kept in Israel from the days of Samuel the prophet; neither did all the kings of Israel keep such a passover as Josiah kept.” (2 Chronicles 35:18) However, in the prime of him being king and doing God’s work on earth, his life was cut short in times of war, when he was hit by arrows. He later died and was buried. It was after this happened that 2“Jeremiah lamented for Josiah: and all the singing men and the singing women spake of Josiah in their lamentations to this day.” (2 Chronicles 35:25) Now, it would be sad to see this man die like this, but surely he was now with the Lord God, who saved. It was that day that he died that Jesus took him into paradise. Praise God.
Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I am grateful to know You. Thank You for saving my soul from hell, that I might be with You forever in heaven. It is a joy to live my life for You now. I’ve experienced what the world says is good and have only found there to be guilt and shame along with it. But with You, there is a big difference. I am always left in awe of just being in Your presence. Your peace fills me in ways that I have never known before. And Your love inspires me to achieve things that I never thought was possible. Surely, Your strength is what carries onward in this life. I am not in fear because of trials I am facing, but I am at peace because You comfort me. You know my needs and are supply them at all times and in places. Sometimes it is through people and other times it is simply in prayer. All I know, God, is that Your works are what liven my soul. It is because of You, that I am set on fire for preaching and teaching the gospel to all the world. I never had such a desire before to be an evangelist for Your kingdom, but now it is here burning inside of my soul. It is my heartfelt desire to lead more people to know You and be saved before my last breath is taken. I know that I already have a place prepared for me in Your kingdom. You are my God and I will follow You till the end. Wherever You will lead me, I will go. So I am not fearful of my life when death is at my door. What I am saddened by is all the people that denied their chance to be saved and are now awaiting judgment in death. So Lord, help me reach people for Your kingdom. May more people give their lives over to You and also be saved from hell. I love You more than what this world offers me and I hope to see these lost souls be restored into Your love like I have been. I love You, Lord. You are my God, and I worship You. Amen.
