“Howl ye; for the day of the LORD is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty. Therefore shall all hands be faint, and every man’s heart shall melt: And they shall be afraid: pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a woman that travaileth: they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames.” (Isaiah 13:6-8) – About 700–681 B.C.
“And the wild beasts of the islands shall cry in their desolate houses, and dragons in their pleasant palaces: and her time is near to come, and her days shall not be prolonged.” (Isaiah 13:22) – About 700–681 B.C.

“And the wild beasts of the islands shall cry in their desolate houses, and dragons in their pleasant palaces; and her time is near to come, and her day shall not be prolonged. The King James Version of Isaiah, chapter 13, was copied and pasted into the Book of Mormon. This chapter of Isaiah can be found in 2 Nephi, chapter 23. The book of Isaiah and 2 Nephi are also available to read in the next chapters of this book. Details of what took place can be found below…

When comparing Isaiah, chapter 13 with 2 Nephi, chapter 23, we see a multitude of additions and subtractions. It is startling to see number of words and phrases that are changed. Surely, Joseph Smith must not have cared at all about the purity of the Bible. In the Book of Mormon, you will see the phrase, “they shall be in pain as a woman that travaileth” removed entirely. Where, “LORD” has been changed to “Lord”. But let's first see how Isaiah reads in its pure form. It is written, “howl ye; for the day of the LORD is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty. Therefore shall all hands be faint, and every man’s heart shall melt: And they shall be afraid: pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a woman that travaileth: they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames.” (Isaiah 13:6-8) At the end of this chapter it says the following. “And the wild beasts of the islands shall cry in their desolate houses, and dragons in their pleasant palaces: and her time is near to come, and her days shall not be prolonged.” (Isaiah 13:22) Praise God for the purity of His Word.

We will now read the changes I just mentioned above in the Book of Mormon, along with a new phrase added to the end of verse 22. It reads, “for I will destroy her speedily; yea, for I will be merciful unto my people, but the wicked shall perish.” This does not exist in the KJV Bible, nor in any translation of the Bible. Also, the part about a woman that travaileth exists in every translation except for Joseph Smith’s false Book of Mormon. This corrupted book reads, “howl ye, for the day of the Lord is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty. Therefore shall all hands be faint, every man’s heart shall melt; And they shall be afraid; pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames.” (2 Nephi 23:6-8) At the end of this chapter it also says this. “And the wild beasts of the islands shall cry in their desolate houses, and dragons in their pleasant palaces; and her time is near to come, and her day shall not be prolonged. For I will destroy her speedily; yea, for I will be merciful unto my people, but the wicked shall perish.” (2 Nephi 23:22) What you have just read should hit you like a ton of bricks. The truth is Joseph Smith is a false prophet, and now he is exposed.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray that people will awaken to their sins. I am astounded by all the false teachers in this world. What is so sad are the millions of people who follow them. This doesn’t happen when the Holy Spirit is with us. Those who do not have Your gift with them are like wanderers in the darkness. Without the Spirit, all we can do is cherry-pick from the Bible and make doctrines out of what we read. Hence, that is the reason for all the different cults. If these people could just know You as their personal Lord and Savior, they would come out of it and bow down at Your feet, Jesus. I love Your ways and wish that every person would do as You instruct us, Father. Therefore, I pray that people will be filled with the Holy Spirit if they are not yet. If people once lived for You, but their faith is now dead, I pray that You will come and wake them up. To be dead in the faith makes us indistinguishable from other people in the world. Haven’t You called us out of the world and to be different? Of course, You have, God. That is what the Holy Spirit does for us. Thank You, Lord. You have made us different, and now we hate even the appearance of evil. I love You, Jesus. I give You praise and honor. Amen.
