After talking with Herod, the wise men “departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was.”
Soon after this visitation, the angel also visited Joseph. He told him to not fear his wife’s pregnancy for what she is carrying “is of the Holy Ghost.”
Jesus is called wonderful, counselor, mighty God, everlasting Father, the prince of peace. His peace has no end. He is our judge and judges us with justice.
The prophesy of the Lord’s birth, in Isaiah 7 and 8, was fulfilled in Matthew 1. The wait was finally over. The birth of the Messiah had finally come to pass.
Being led by God is much different than being led by your own self and hoping or thinking you are saved.
Shortly after talking with these two gentlemen, my walk led me to another awesome discussion with a wonderful young man.
If God has come to your rescue, then rejoice. Give Him thanks. Don’t just pray and receive but pray and give thanks. Give praise to the one who saves.
Come humbly before God in prayer. Confess your sins and lay your addictions at the feet of Jesus. Admit that you are a sinner and need a Savior.
One day soon, the wicked will tremble before the Lord in judgement. They may not be so keen to is judgements now but after death they will have no choice but to surrender to Him.
Come and be fed by the King of Glory. In any time or place in your life, give your heart to God in prayer. Just open your mouth and speak from your heart.
The same love that God has shown to us leads us to forgive one another. Jesus has taught that he shows mercy upon us as we have mercy upon others.
Think of the joy you would be able to feel if sin wasn’t tearing you down. It is the weight of our sins that burden us.
God has spoken to my mind that I might see His glorious presence. I gave the Lord free access to my heart and have not looked back.
I continued down 8th and Main, and started preaching on Matthew, chapter 4. I declared, Jesus said “Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
God loves the humble for they are open to receive Him. God’s counsel is taken with thanks. They are open to see the wickedness in their hearts.
What you’ve once done for the Lord will mean nothing, if you are now living in habitual sin. You can’t say, Lord, but what about the mission trip I did 2 years ago.
The Lord God knows who loves or hates His words. Most people would rather walk in the ways of the world then change their ways.
My greatest delight is to know that God is with me. I know that as I march through the battles of life, He is by my side.
People tend to live life freely and not fear death, but on the flip side, don’t understand the consequences of hell that awaits them.
We go through hard times, like our neighbor does. Wouldn’t it be awesome if they responded to help us. As Christians, we ought to give care for the needy.
The heart of the Lord is pure. He is virtuous above all things. There is only holiness in the Lord. His ways are higher than anything in this world.
The greatest joy we can have in our lives is through the love of Jesus. His love changes us to become men and women of valor.
Get back up when you sin. Humble yourself and come to God in prayer for deliverance. God continues to beckon us home, though we have strayed.
If you are weak, then come to the waters of Jesus. In Him, you will never thirst again. He holds the waters of everlasting life.
If any of you have strayed from the path of God then get on your knees now and pray. Confess your sins before the Lord.
There will be a day when everyone will be judged before the Lord, Jesus Christ. He can see the person we are today and the person we can become.
If we are following God’s commandments then we are also loving one another, including the poor and afflicted and following Him.
Let us now review our own lives before God. If you died today, would you be ready to meet Jesus in judgement?
