Judgement For The Wicked

We live in a world that is full of wicked people, much like in the times of Sodom and Gomorrah and Noah. 4This generation is leading so many people down a road to destruction. There immodest lifestyle and provocative dress are leading, even those in the faith, astray. They are leading people to believe that living a life to its fullest potential is most important. They say, “have fun now while you are young. Live free and experience this world for what it truly offers”. Know that this is not of God. It is the enemy that wants to lead you into bondage. It is masked as a good time but all roads lead to sorrow. If you have been led astray, then cry out to God. Ask for His mercy and forgiveness. Do as David wrote, 2“Hear my voice, O God, in my prayer: preserve my life from fear of the enemy.” No longer bask in your guilt but poor out your heart to God. Pray that you may be led from addiction and into His light. That temptation will no longer take you down. Think about who has helped you fall into the place you are now. Ask God for help. Look how David dealt with his situation when he prayed, 2“Hide me from the secret counsel of the wicked; from the insurrection of the workers of iniquity.” He knew that they didn’t truly want him to be happy. All they wanted was to entrap him and make him feel like he is just fine. But know that a lifestyle of sin is not alright in the sight of God. 3Jesus’s ministry was to call out the sinner to repentance. To be made knew through the blood of Jesus. Will you come to Jesus and be renewed, this day?

1One day soon, the wicked will tremble before the Lord in judgement. They may not be so keen to His judgements now but after death they will have no choice but to surrender to Him. 7Everyone must come before the King of Glory and be judged by their works. Their sins will be evident and unless they repented then there will be no mercy. Only wrath, as they are thrust into hell. 4Even, those that said they believed in Jesus, but didn’t walk in His ways, will be dealt with a harsh reality that God never knew them. 5Just like the unbeliever, they will also be thrust into outer darkness, where there will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. David records that the wicked will be shot at by the arrows of God. 2“God shall shoot at them with an arrow; suddenly shall they be wounded.” “All that see them shall flee away. And all men shall fear, and shall declare the work of God; for they shall wisely consider of his doing.”6 The truth is, one day, everyone will bow before the Lord, if they like it or not. They will have to face judgement for what they have done in the flesh. Don’t run from this day but consider it now, before it is too late. Everyone that loves the Lord will be saved. His love will penetrate their lives and cause them to love one another. God’s good works will flow from within them and touch many lives. 2“The righteous shall be glad in the Lord, and shall trust in him; and all the upright in heart shall glory.” These are the saints of God, that would rather live for Him than to find pleasure in the moment. The Lord God is worth living for. Most roads lead to death but only one leads to life eternal in heaven and that is through Jesus Christ.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray that the enemy will not lead me or others in the faith astray. Don’t let their seductions lure me away into sin. Help me to not be tempted by what pleases the flesh. Help me to remember that true joy comes from living a life in the Spirit. I can feel pleasure in the moment but if it brings guilt and shame, it is not worth it. It is not worth breaking a part the bond I’ve made with You. I do not wish to live a life outside your presence. What the world offers is not worth it, if it leads me to destruction. I know that I was once lost but You found me. I listened to Your voice and You saved me from the fall. I was destined to die in my sins and be confined to hell but You delivered me from death. My life is now free, through the blood of Jesus. Your love has set me free. I can’t wait to make an eternal home with You, in heaven. My soul longs to be in Your presence. I love You. Amen.

1Psalm 1:1-6 (KJV)
1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
6 For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

2 Psalm 64:1-10 (KJV)
1 Hear my voice, O God, in my prayer: preserve my life from fear of the enemy.
2 Hide me from the secret counsel of the wicked; from the insurrection of the workers of iniquity:
3 Who whet their tongue like a sword, and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter words:
4 That they may shoot in secret at the perfect: suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not.
5 They encourage themselves in an evil matter: they commune of laying snares privily; they say, Who shall see them?
6 They search out iniquities; they accomplish a diligent search: both the inward thought of every one of them, and the heart, is deep.
7 But God shall shoot at them with an arrow; suddenly shall they be wounded.
8 So they shall make their own tongue to fall upon themselves: all that see them shall flee away.
9 And all men shall fear, and shall declare the work of God; for they shall wisely consider of his doing.
10 The righteous shall be glad in the Lord, and shall trust in him; and all the upright in heart shall glory.

3Matthew 4:17-20 (KJV)
17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
18 And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.
19 And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.
20 And they straightway left their nets, and followed him.

4Matthew 7:13,14,21-29 (KJV)
13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
28 And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine:
29 For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.

5Matthew 13:41-43 (KJV)
41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;
42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
43 Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

6Romans 14:11,12 (KJV)

12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.

7Revelation 20:12-15 (KJV)
12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
