Come Back To Jesus

Is Jesus a part of your life now? You may have felt the Holy Spirit so strongly, not to long ago, but do you feel so now? Is that passion to follow Him still exist inside of you or does it need to be awakened from a deep slumber? Ask yourself this question, if Jesus came now, would I be ready to great Him in all His glory? Would Jesus know me? These are all great questions to ask ourselves. We must be willing to examine who we once were and who we are today, in the presence of God. If we were once all in for Jesus but years have gone by and that fire has died down, do something about it. Continuing to live a life that isn’t for Jesus is not healthy. It isn’t just bad for our soul and body now but can be devastating after death. 4A life we once lived for Christ means nothing if we now have chosen to walk in the ways of the world. 1Anything that is not for the Lord is against Him. We can’t believe that a life once given to Jesus will save us. This is a false notion of salvation. Sure, you once knew Him but have since long forgotten Him. Your fire has been burnt out. 2Just like five of the ten virgins, that originally wanted to meet the bridegroom, there is no oil in your lamps. You started down the path of following Jesus but have since gone astray. If this is your life, then come back to Jesus and repent. Don’t put this off till the end. It would be awful to see you trying to enter heaven, in judgment, but then hear Jesus say, 2“I know you not”.

If any of you have strayed from the path of God then get on your knees now and pray. Confess your sins before the Lord. Ask for forgiveness in all sincerity of heart. Ask that Jesus wash you from all your iniquities. You may have gone astray but you still have a lamp. Let the Lord fill your lamps with oil. Come to Him often that you may stay in His light. Your lamps will shine with Jesus in your life. If you were once fallen in your sinful nature but have since been rescued by the hand of Jesus, then cling to Him. Never let the Lord leave your side. Don’t be fooled into going back into a life that only brings destruction. Find safety in the storms through the Bible. Read God’s Word daily that you may be nourished by every word. The Lord will speak through every word of scripture and lead you ever safely on His path. 3Even the fiery darts of the Devil will have no match to the Holy Spirit that is inside of You. Your faith will be raised to defeat the hand of the enemy. Living a life for God will be the greatest joy you will ever experience. I know this to be true. Every day of my life that I am out doing God’s work, His fire burns inside of me. When I am loving Him and my neighbor, I am less needy for the things of the flesh. 4The lusts in my heart are squashed for love has overcome everything. Giving worship to the Lord in prayer brings me great joy. I love spending time with God. Let your life be a life of love towards God and others. This is a life of true joy and happiness.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, You are worth living for. I learned from the dark times of my life that sin is not worth it. Getting pleasure through sexual sin never lasts. My lusts have only brought sadness and grief in my life. When You came for me and rescued me from death, I was amazed at what fullness of life is. Your love has helped me become the person I am today and I am forever changed because of You. Lord, for the longest time, I strayed. My lamp was not lit. I put You off and You could have easily given up on me. Thank You for saving me. I am forever grateful for the cross. Because the blood that was shed, I am washed. I am clean, for You have redeemed my soul. Help anyone that has lost their way to come back to You. Help anyone reading this message to know that You love them and care for them so deeply. Please bring them back to Your presence. Give them oil and light their paths. I love You. Amen.
