Mormons believe that God’s one true church is with them and not in churches of Christianity. Interesting, that this is what the devil would want people to think in order to prove the rest of Christianity false. This is exactly what the Mormon leaders have done for the last two hundred years. They say that only their church is true because of three main reasons, which we will go through one by one and prove as false. It is said, “so what does it mean that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the only true Church? Three features—(1) fulness of doctrine, (2) power of the priesthood, and (3) testimony of Jesus Christ—explain why God has declared and why we as His servants maintain that this is the only true and living Church upon the face of the whole earth.” (The Only True and Living Church, Dallin H. Oaks, June 25, 2010) They claim that only their church is true because of the fullness of God’s teachings/doctrines are in their church and no other. How their church has people who hold the power of the priesthood, or authority to do different ordinances like baptisms and temple ordinances. That they have the testimony of Jesus. Therefore, they send their missionaries in all the world.
As for Mormons having the testimony of Jesus and not a false Christ, they would need to have the fullness of doctrine and priesthood. This we will now test. As for doctrines, they teach the need for baptism to be saved, baptisms for the dead, eternal marriage, the need for temples, exaltation, godhood, atonement in the garden, and more. These are all false doctrines, and I will help people understand this by using the Bible. God’s Word is clear that people do not have to be baptized to be saved. “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13) After death comes paradise for the righteous and hell for the wicked. After judgment is set, the wicked will be cast into the lake of fire, while the righteous will enter the new earth and new heaven. There are no second chances after death to be saved. “He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” (Revelation 21:7,8) Mormons do not believe or teach this.
Jesus taught that there is no marriage in heaven. “And Jesus answering said unto them, The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage: But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage: Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.” (Luke 20:34-36) The need for temple buildings ended with Jesus dying for our sins. He is our greater tabernacle now, of which we look to in faith. “But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.” (Hebrews 9:11,12) The Holy Spirit is in those who believe in Him, making us His temple. “Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?” (1 Corinthians 3:16) We just learned earlier that there is no marriage in heaven, as those in Christ will be like unto angels in the next life and not gods.
Jesus died for our sins, which is on the cross. This is where atonement took place. “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.” (Romans 5:8-11) No person in the New Testament ever held the priesthood but Jesus alone. The need for priests was done away with, with the law of Moses. “For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood. And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest, who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life. For he testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.” (Hebrews 7:14-17) Therefore, the Bible alone proves the Mormon church to be false. We can now conclude that they teach a false Christ. Amen.
Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray that people in the Mormon church will stop believing in what their church teaches but compare and contrast their beliefs with the Bible. If only this would happen, the total membership in Mormonism would drop significantly. Can this still happen? I believe it can. That is why I am prepared to lead as many Mormons out of their cult as possible. Lord, lead me to those who are willing to hear Your truth. I cannot do anything on my own part without Your presence. This can only be done through Your hand, God. Come and set a revival in the hearts of these people. A hunger and a thirst for what is true, that they may no longer settle on things they were raised to know as truth. Will there be many people who were once Mormon in heaven? I pray that this is the case. God, I know of so many people that are trapped in the Mormon cult. They have been blinded by the teachings of men, and only You can help them unlearn these lies. I am praying for my brothers and sisters who are alive, along with their families to be saved from the wrath to come. I want to see these people in heaven, but a change must happen first. This is my prayer. I love You, Jesus. You can do all things. Amen.
