I come to You Jesus. Fill me with your peace. Lead me each day. Take me by the hand and show me how to walk. Teach me how to live worthy before You. Help me to love one another the same as You love me. I am redeemed by your sacrifice. Anything in the world that I once held dear is nothing compared to your love. I seek You each day Lord. I am nothing without your mercy. Thank You for the cross. I come down on my knees each day to worship You. I will give myself to You Lord. Anything that is contrary to you I will lay it down at the cross. I will give up my pride. I will cast aside any addiction and give my focus to You. I will put down the lusts of the flesh and seek your beauty. I will seek your love to soften my anger. I will not hold grudges or judge others but leave all judgement to You. I will forgive others as You have forgiven me. I will take up the cross and follow You.
Oh Lord, Your sacrifice on the cross is so important in my life. Thank You for carrying our sins on the cross. Thank You for your compassion and willingness to die for us. Thank You for the gift of salvation. The cross brings hope to this world. You gave us something to believe in. You gave us a path to salvation. If we might come to you and forsake our sins we might be forgiven. I know that You are my redeemer. You are my healer. My heart has been changed because of your mercy. I am no longer a slave to the things of the world. I am able to think clearly. Each day my mind is renewed. Through Your strength I can put aside the temptations of the devil. Your blood has sanctified my soul. I will strive to follow you better each day. I will tell your story of redemption to the world. That they can be saved if they might give their lives to You. I live each day to follow You.
34 When He had called the people to Himself, with His disciples also, He said to them, “Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.
35 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it.
36 For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?
37 Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?
38 For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of Man also will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.”
