Our Faith In Jesus

We must repent and have faith in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins. Our faith in God demonstrates our conviction to Him. Our actions speak volumes not only in the lives of others but in the eyes of God. He can see when we are for Him for our desires are less on ourselves and more for others in need. Our prayers are heard in the heavens above. Through our faith, God’s healing power is brought down to the sick. Here is an example of great faith. “When they could not find by what way they might bring him in because of the multitude, they went upon the housetop, and let him down through the tiling with his couch into the midst before Jesus. And when he saw their faith, he said unto him, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee.” These people saw the power of God and acted on their beliefs. They didn’t only desire the blessings for themselves but the blessings of others. They brought in a man sick with palsy, by whatever means possible, to the foot of Jesus. What great love they showed for others. That day, the man’s sins were forgiven. Healing also came down from heaven because of the man’s great faith in Jesus. Jesus said to the man, “I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy couch, and go into thine house. And immediately he rose up before them, and took up that whereon he lay, and departed to his own house, glorifying God.” I encourage everyone to believe in miracles. Help others be delivered from their sicknesses and their sins through Christ the Lord.

Seek to love one another as you love God. This is the greatest commandment of God. We are in the faith when we obey God’s commandments. Just as these wonderful people, in scripture, helped a man of palsy come to Christ, reach out to those in need. Let God use you to do His will in your live. You never know who you may impact. Your actions will speak volumes in the lives of those you touch. Live in the love of Jesus and your light will shine among many men and women. People will see something different in your lives. Just as this man had faith, you will also meet others that are ready to give their lives to Christ. Lead them by the hand to Jesus through love and kindness. God will speak peace to their lives if we let Him. Pray that your lives will be led to those in need. Ask that you may know how to help them. Seek the Holy Spirit that it may be His words, when you speak, and not your own. God can do many great things in our lives if He is in our hearts. Oh Lord, use us this day to bring life to the lost. Help those in sin be convicted of their wickedness. Lead them to be humble and submissive before You. I pray that they call upon Your Name. That they confess and forsake their sins this day. If they have any burdens, lift them up this day. Heal their sicknesses. Relieve them from their pains. Lead me to those in need. Help me to care for them with love. May Your words speak through me. That people will come to repent and believe in You. I love You.

Luke 5:17-26 (KJV)
17 And it came to pass on a certain day, as he was teaching, that there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, which were come out of every town of Galilee, and Judaea, and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was present to heal them.
18 And, behold, men brought in a bed a man which was taken with a palsy: and they sought means to bring him in, and to lay him before him.
19 And when they could not find by what way they might bring him in because of the multitude, they went upon the housetop, and let him down through the tiling with his couch into the midst before Jesus.
20 And when he saw their faith, he said unto him, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee.
21 And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this which speaketh blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone?
22 But when Jesus perceived their thoughts, he answering said unto them, What reason ye in your hearts?
23 Whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Rise up and walk?
24 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power upon earth to forgive sins, (he said unto the sick of the palsy,) I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy couch, and go into thine house.
25 And immediately he rose up before them, and took up that whereon he lay, and departed to his own house, glorifying God.
26 And they were all amazed, and they glorified God, and were filled with fear, saying, We have seen strange things to day.
