The terms gentile and church were never used in the Old Testament. However, you see these important words used around 559 B.C. in the fictional Book of Mormon. This is a big problem, especially since the Mormon church are teaching their people that this actually occurred. For this reason, this book is flat out false in every fashion of the word. Just look at how this book talks about the gentiles. They think they are apostates. It reads, “and it shall come to pass, that those who have dwindled in unbelief shall be smitten by the hand of the Gentiles. And the Gentiles are lifted up in the pride of their eyes, and have stumbled, because of the greatness of their stumbling block, that they have built up many churches; nevertheless, they put down the power and miracles of God, and preach up unto themselves their own wisdom and their own learning, that they may get gain and grind upon the face of the poor.” (2 Nephi 26:19,20) This is surely something Joseph Smith would say, not an ancient people.
Anyone who is not Jewish is a gentile. This includes people from every religion minus those in Israel, including those in Mormonism. How interesting that this book attacks churches built up by the gentiles. Do they not realize they are gentiles too? What they don’t realize is, millions of gentiles have been saved in the last days because of their faith in Jesus. This is a mystery that was kept for centuries until the time of Paul. It is written, “how that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words, whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ. Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel.” (Ephesians 3:3-6) In conclusion, the Book of Mormon is false. Gentiles who believe in Jesus are saved. This excludes those who are a Mormon. Amen.
Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray that the Mormon people will stop thinking that those who are gentiles are unsaved, or that we have built up false churches. Surely, their book of Mormon has caused them to think this way. I love these people, but to help them think differently when it comes to You and your people on earth is very difficult. Lord, my only desire is to lead them to know You. To deny themselves and to come to You completely. To allow You to help them unlearn the lies, including every false teaching. I have seen this happen with many people who have left Mormonism and have found You as their Lord and Savior. I give You thanks for saving me also from this cult. Satan had his clutches in me for some time while I was a part of it. I wanted to defend it with my firm testimony in the Mormon church, but slowly over time You worked on my heart until it became broken. I may have lost my testimony in a church, but found something much better. I found You, Jesus. You saved me. Thank You, Lord. I love You, Amen.
