Everyone has their own written book before God. He knows who we are and in great detail. As for me and my book, it is very similar to David’s in the Bible. In God’s eyes, it is my prayer that He sees me as someone who delights to do His will. Someone who has His law written on my heart. Someone who preaches according to His will and not my own. Someone who witnesses to people as the Lord sees fit, and with the power of the Holy Spirit. I have not refrained my lips to share the truth, no matter if it is hard to receive. David also said this about his book, which he says, “then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me, I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart. I have preached righteousness in the great congregation: lo, I have not refrained my lips, O Lord, thou knowest.” (Psalm 40:7-9)
In the sight of God, I proclaim that I have not hidden my faith when tested, no matter the circumstances I’ve been under. I have declared that God is faithful to forgive us our sins and that only Jesus saves. I have shared God’s love with His truth combined with as many people that would listen. When I have sinned, I’ve asked God to be merciful. His love never fails me, although I fail Him. David also said, “I have not hid thy righteousness within my heart; I have declared thy faithfulness and thy salvation: I have not concealed thy lovingkindness and thy truth from the great congregation. Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O Lord: let thy lovingkindness and thy truth continually preserve me.” (Psalm 40:10,11) Your life is also recorded in the sight of God. Oh Lord, I pray that many people will examine their lives and get right with You before it is too late. So often do we do something similar day in and day out and forget about including You, God. Whare people doing? Have they forgotten their first love? I hope and pray that people didn’t just pray a prayer once and think they are saved. How deceived are these same people? Lord, awaken people in my city and in all the world to know and follow You. So many people are slumbering, not realizing that tomorrow could be their last day. Therefore, I pray that seeking You first in their lives will become a desire that springs out of more people. Then will people make ample time for You each day and not think that making time for You is a burden. Each day I live, I live it for You. You are my delight and to whom I give praise. I love You, Jesus. Amen.
