Our Final Destination Come Death

Every person that dies and is then able to be a part of the New Jerusalem, where there is a new earth and a new heaven, will be blessed for all eternity. This is the time of great rejoicing, for our time is up on the earth in death and we endured in the faith in Jesus Christ. Our faith was not in vain, as most people may have thought, for now only joy and happiness is to be had with the Lord God in paradise. For everyone that is able to be with God and enter His holy tabernacle, He 1“shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” (Revelation 21:4) How amazing is this, that we no longer have to worry about death, being sick, having to go through trials and sadness? I don’t know about you, but this will be welcome news to my ears. I won’t help but rejoice in the Lord, my God, and lift Him up in the highest praise. This is only possible because of God’s great love for us. He even said, 1“I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.” (Revelation 21:6) In this place, our thirst is quenched by this water. It is much better than anything we’ve ever drunk on earth. What an amazing time this will be. Now the question is, will you be there?

For everyone that is welcomed to live with Jesus on this new earth, they are also called His sons and His daughters. They are adopted into His fold, with the Lord God as their shepherd. Concerning this, Jesus, said, 1“he that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.” (Revelation 21:7) These are those that have lived out their lives in faith in Christ. There were no more willful sins in their lives, for the Word of God was their armor. And if they did fall, they confessed their sins to God openly, that they may get right with Him again. All throughout their lives they were refreshed by the blood of Jesus, who gives mercy freely to those that come unto Him. However, as much as you and I know, most people are not taking the right course in life, instead they are on the path of destruction. This is because Jesus is not the Lord of their lives, but worldly treasures and the pleasures that come from the lusts of their flesh are. Because of this, people are hooked on pornography, drugs, alcohol, amongst other things. Where sexual purity is not sought after, for they see nothing wrong with sex outside of marriage and even some see homosexuality as being OK. For this reason, these people are not fit for God’s kingdom. Now, does God have a place prepared for the wicked? Of course, He does.

Concerning those people that are not saved, Jesus said, 1“but the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” (Revelation 21:8) Because their hearts are far from God and their lives are wicked, their destination can only be hellfire, and then after judgement, thrown into the lake of fire. Now concerning the New Jerusalem and the new heaven, because it is pure in every way, wickedness cannot dwell there. That is why this other place of torment was prepared for the unbelievers. As Jesus said, concerning the place where God dwells, 1“there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.” (Revelation 21:27) What people have to realize is that if you are filthy, because of your sins when you die, then you are filthy still when you wake up from death. This is why the just will enter paradise and be with the Lord, where the wicked will open their eyes in hell. The just are the humble followers of Christ and are in God’s book of life. This is their ticket to be with God. So pray for salvation, that your name be written in the book of life.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray that more people will endure in the faith. That once they make the decision to believe in You, Jesus, that they will not back down, but go all in for Your kingdom and Your glory. Then, can You continually be with them, as You are with me, while lifting up their hopes, which come from heaven above. You have the power to break us free from all sin and addiction in our lives, while cleansing us from within. We don’t have to be a slave to sin any longer, but a willful follower of what You have spoken and are continuing to speak to us now. Thank You for Your holy words in the Bible. They are refreshing to my ears and are like pure honey to my taste. I am so blessed to be filled with what You have spoken in scripture. Thank You for allowing Your Words to be in my heart and in my mind. Because of this, I am at peace now, and can rest in Your promises that come from above. All I want is more of You and less of my own desires, which only lead to death and destruction. My soul sings hallelujah to Your great Name, oh God. I am amazed at Your love for me. Thank You, Lord. May there be more people that will experience Your love before they die. Then, will they know as I know that only You have the power to save us from hell, and raise us up into newness of life on this earth and in heaven. I love You, Lord. Only You could save a wretch like me. Into Your arms will I dwell forever. Amen.
