The Bible Leads Us To Christ

There is a reason why only few people are saved. Many believe in their hearts that they are saved by the blood of Jesus, but they are only fooling themselves. They said a prayer once and confessed their sins and now they feel well off with God. Don’t be fooled to think that your place in heaven is secure if you truly are not on the narrow path. 3There is a straight gate that leads to God and even Jesus said that this path is narrow and only those people that go through it are saved. Our salvation is not dependent upon our own belief system or the way we live our lives but what Jesus has established in His Word. If we do not abide in His Words then there is no salvation yet for us. Jesus spoke clearly on this matter, 1“why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say.” If you are not doing what He says in His Word, then He is not Lord of your lives. There must be a laying down of your lives for Christ the Lord, before salvation can even start in your life. This humbleness before the Lord will bring you to search out His Word and live accordingly. Beware, lest you live out your life and be found unworthy, because you did not live according to God’s teachings. Our belief in God does not give us a right to continue sinning and do what we feel like. This is not living in God’s will at all but ourselves. This type of lifestyle needs to be reckoned with, with God, before it is too late.

It truly is sad to see so many people say that they believe in Jesus but not read the Bible. Both 5Jesus and the 4Bible are called the “Word of God”. You cannot even have one without the other. It would be incomplete. Think about your life and if any of the following if statements are true to your life. 1. If you have faith alone without God’s Word in your life then you are not following after Jesus. You are on your own path where your defenses are down and sin can easily creep in. 2. If you read the Bible but disagree with certain parts of it, then you are also disagreeing with the Lord Jesus and what He says. You are not for Christ, if this is the case. How can you believe in God but deny the truthfulness of the Bible? This is truly showcasing your true colors of what your faith is like for Jesus. 3. If you say you believe in God and read the Bible, but have not submitted yourself to Jesus yet, then the words, you are reading, will have no effect in your life. You are so close but still missing the mark, because Jesus is not in your life. Your belief in Jesus needs to be real before true understanding can take place. It takes repentance, through prayer, before someone is made clean by the blood of Jesus. If and only then, can the Lord take you by the hand and change you from within. You can live differently, if the Lord is in your life. 2Keep God’s Word in your heart, that the Lord may help you keep them.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, may their be stirring in people’s hearts to read the Bible. May people begin to draw near unto You and Your words. I know that Your words are true. I believe in You and what is written is pure and holy. I am able to drawer unto You by reading the Bible daily. It did take a heart change to understand You meaning of Your words but it was worth it. I always wanted to read and find enlightenment and that finally came when I gave my life to You, Jesus. You saw my desire to get on the right path and Your mercy was for me. Thank You for forgiving me and pointing me on Your righteous path, that leads to heaven. With the Bible in my life, I am not lost but am made alive in Your love. You enlighten my mind, every day that I read. I am stronger in the faith because what You have said and done in my life. I pray Lord that those that are lost, will be found. Even those in the faith that have drifted away. May they all come to know You personally through daily Bible study and through prayer. Lead us all the way, Lord. We need You. We trust in You, God. I love You. Amen.
