Before we find the Lord, we are like wanderers in the desert. We are trying to find our way through the trials of daily life. Though some strive to live a good life, temptation comes and leads them away into dark paths. The desire to do good can’t match the offerings of this world. Satan knows what each of us like most. For this reason, He feeds us with thoughts and images of things, in order to intrigue our flesh. Once this kicks in, it is hard to break free. 2Our flesh struggles inside of us and cannot be tamed unless Jesus is with us. Without the Lord, there is no victory over sin. Sin will continue to rule our bodies if we Jesus hasn’t done a work inside of us. Only the Lord can shield our minds and help us focus on even greater things. This all starts with a humble heart towards God. We must be willing to admit that we are a sinner and need help from the Lord. The confessions of a humble person is heard in the heavens above. Mercy is given to everyone that repents. Come unto Jesus and you will be made clean through His blood. This new walk in Christ Jesus is what you need to know the way. The Holy Spirit will light your path. Listen to God’s promptings and take in His counsel with thankfulness of heart. God knows what’s best for you. Trust in Him and you will find joy. The joy of the lord is eternal. Through the good times and bad, come to Jesus and you will be filled.
I know that Jesus loves me. For I was once a wanderer in life and Jesus didn’t give up on me. I was caught up in fulfilling the lusts of the flesh. I was always trying to find joy but never found it in the right places. In my own ways, I found pleasure in sexual sin. Pornography was my vice to bring me temporary joy. However, it always brought guilt and shame into my life, afterword’s. I never understood. Why would I desire it if the pleasure was minuscule but the pain of guilt was heavy on my heart. This addiction was eating at my soul. It wasn’t until I looked to Jesus, in prayer for assistance that I had a way out. I knew that I could not break the bonds of addiction on my own but the Lord could. My temptations were heavy, as I’d get reminded with images and thoughts. However, what Satan didn’t realize is, once I confessed my sins to God, my desires changed. My heart began to move towards loving one another instead of fulfilling my own lusts. So when the devil came to me, I was no longer interested. Thank You Jesus. Like David said, 1“When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back.” I am strengthened every day that I follow You, Jesus. I am able to live a better life, with You by my side. Thank You for Your forgiveness. 1“In God will I praise”. 1“I put my trust” in Jesus my Savior. I vow to live my life for the Lord God, who saves. God has 1“delivered my soul from death” and I am every so grateful. Thank You Lord.
Let us pray:
Oh Lord, thank You for Your mercy. Thank You for welcoming me in, though I was so enamored in sin. I knew my sin was grievous in Your sight. I didn’t think Your mercy was for such a wicked person, such as I. This led me to cry myself to sleep at night. But Lord, You still cared for me. You have never forsaken me, though I was so far from You. Thank You for listening to my prayers. In my brokenness, Your love came over me. When I felt Your presence, I knew that You still cared for me. How merciful are You God. You have known my heart but knew I still had potential. You give me hope. My trust in You has propelled me to new heights. There is great joy in my life, because You are there. You hear my cries and come to my rescue. What a great God You are. I am honored to follow You. I praise Your holy Name. I love You. Amen.
