It was wonderful, tonight, to go out in faith to share the gospel of Jesus Christ in whatever way we could. We just asked that God would lead us by the Spirit and He did just that. We seeked after His Him and He delivered. He made good on His promises. Many seeds were planted this night. I believe each gospel tract we gave out is a seed that is ripe for the harvest in each person’s hearts. All it takes is someone reading it and being convicted by the Holy Spirit. God can do the rest in that person’s life. So today was amazing, since I just got a new shipment of gospel tracts from the “Fellowship Tract League“. I am so grateful that their tracts are free, including shipping. Praise God for that. Tonight, each of us got a stack of tracts each and they were going fast. I started off by giving out the “Heaven or Hell” tract. It was interesting, when this lady got one and said, “I pick the top one, heaven”. Another tract was “God loves You”. Telling people how much God loved them was amazing. The title of this tract was exactly how I feel in my heart. As we continued to walk, we talked to this homeless lady, who had recently fallen under hard times. We offered her a care pack with food and asked if we could pray for her. She obliged and we prayed that she would have shelter, have the food she needs, be given good health, that her daughter may be watched over and most importantly that she may be comforted in the Lord. That God would be with her to bear her up. As we left we encouraged her to seek God and gave her a Bible to read. She looked much happier as we left her.
Continuing our walk this night, we stumbled upon this man who last week we prayed over his hand, since it was in a lot of pain. We prayed for a healing and by the grace of God his hand was heeled. Praise God. We all prayed for another great week. That God would rest upon Him, this day. He also raised up his voice to the heavens and proclaimed his gratefulness to God for His bounteous love. He said that he was in awe that a God that formed the heavens could love him so much. It was a blessing indeed to talk with him and to hear him play his guitar for us. As we continued walking, I talked to these two ladies about seeking the Lord for themselves. That church is great but we need to discover Jesus in our own lives to be saved. Our own belief in Him is true faith. Another gentlemen, I stopped to talk to about prayer. That it is the time that God is ever present. I encouraged Him to pray often. Our night ended talking with this other man who was once an alcoholic but has since became clean. He needed prayers for his daughter, so Joan prayed for him. She asked that God would watch over and protect them. He also received some gospel tracts along with a “Daily Christian Devotional” card. I encouraged Him to read the Bible and to check out the site. That it is important to discover Jesus daily in our lives. Thank You Lord for using us this day to plant seeds. Your flock was planted this day. May good fruit come forth from them. That they may come to know You. It was wonderful to lift people up to You, Jesus. You are my rock and my foundation. I love You Lord.
1 Corinthians 3:8-11 (KJV)
8 Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.
9 For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building.
10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.
11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
