As we accept the Lord Jesus into our hearts, we must call on His Name often in prayer. We must never forget the day He rescued us. He will be there to lift us up when we are at our weakest. He knows the temptations will be more fierce when we are alone. We must be strong in the Lord and lift Him up often. If He is in our hearts, He will be our shield when temptation strikes. If we just go about our day, doing our own thing, than it will be easier to fall. We are at our weakest when we don’t have a prayer in our heart. This is when sin becomes more appealing to the flesh. Satan sees us in these moments and feeds on our weaknesses. Soon, the ways of the world become attractive to our soul. We get reminders of how greats it made us feel in the past. Many have fallen because of these lies. At those times when you feel like you aren’t strong enough to resist, fall into the arms of Jesus. He will take you to a place of rest. His peace will fill your heart. His warmth will be all around You. His joy will radiate in your life. He will cut lose all the temptations of the devil. His love will cast aside all fear. You can be set free in the Lord. All those that follow Him are accepted into His arms. They are blessed beyond measure.
Even when we have fallen, there still is hope. We can either soak in our mistakes or come back to Jesus. Jesus casts aside all shame. His mercy is for all the broken. We must ask the Lord for forgiveness and desire to sin no more. Jacob became a great man of God in his later years, however, before this time he fell into the deception of sin. For the sake of a blessing, he lied to his father about who he was. He thought he’d be blessed more of the Lord if he took Esau’s blessing. The moment he went through with this, there was pain in his life. His relationship with his brother was never the same again. However, the Lord knew the potential in Jacob. This is why Jacob turned his life around and came back to the Lord. He had a desire to change his life and acted on it. If you have fallen into sin, pray to God for forgiveness. Jesus paid for all our sins on the cross. He knew each of us would fall and need a Savior. If your heart is given to the Lord, then we will wash your sins away. His love will make you whole again. Oh Lord, please bless us as we are tempted each day. We need your deliverance when times are hard. Make our hearts beat only for You. Forgive me Lord, when I falter. I need your presence to keep me strong.
Genesis 27:25-29
25 He said, “Bring it near to me, and I will eat of my son’s game, so that my soul may bless you.” So he brought it near to him, and he ate; and he brought him wine, and he drank.
26 Then his father Isaac said to him, “Come near now and kiss me, my son.”
27 And he came near and kissed him; and he smelled the smell of his clothing, and blessed him and said: “Surely, the smell of my son Is like the smell of a field Which the Lord has blessed.
28 Therefore may God give you Of the dew of heaven, Of the fatness of the earth, And plenty of grain and wine.
29 Let peoples serve you, And nations bow down to you. Be master over your brethren, And let your mother’s sons bow down to you. Cursed be everyone who curses you, And blessed be those who bless you!”
