There are many mockers and scoffers. This can cause us to grieve, for people’s hearts are so hard hearted towards God.
Psalm 94:11,12 (KJV)
11 The Lord knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.
12 Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O Lord, and teachest him out of thy law;
It is sad when people teach things contrary to the Bible, what is of man and not of God, while causing God’s people to stumble.
Mormonism differs with Christianity in so many ways. They even disagree with core Christian doctrines.
Psalm 93:3-5 (KJV)
3 The floods have lifted up, O Lord, the floods have lifted up their voice; the floods lift up their waves.
4 The Lord on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, yea, than the mighty waves of the sea.
5 Thy testimonies are very sure: holiness becometh thine house, O Lord, for ever.
The Lord God reigneth. He is here now and among His people. All around the world there are revivals.
Psalm 92:8,9 (KJV) 8 But thou, Lord, art most high for evermore. 9 For, lo, thine enemies, O Lord, for, lo, thine enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.
Only through the Lord, our God, can anyone become righteous. This means to be blameless and pure in God’s sight.
Psalm 91:4-6 (KJV)
4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
If we allow God to cover us, we are protected from the enemy. Like wings of eagles, we are also caried away safely.
Psalm 90:10 (KJV)
10 The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.
Those who love Jesus also live for Him. These are those who will die and go into the light and into paradise.
Psalm 89:35-37 (KJV)
35 Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto David.
36 His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me.
37 It shall be established for ever as the moon, and as a faithful witness in heaven. Selah.
David got a glimpse of Jesus’s kingdom. Speaking of His seed, it shall endure forever under Jesus, our Messiah, and King.
Psalm 88:1-3 (KJV)
1 O lord God of my salvation, I have cried day and night before thee:
2 Let my prayer come before thee: incline thine ear unto my cry;
3 For my soul is full of troubles: and my life draweth nigh unto the grave.
Don’t give up. God’s mercy is for you. He will come and lift you up, while giving you the strength to carry on
Psalm 87:5-7 (KJV)
5 And of Zion it shall be said, This and that man was born in her: and the highest himself shall establish her.
6 The Lord shall count, when he writeth up the people, that this man was born there. Selah.
7 As well the singers as the players on instruments shall be there: all my springs are in thee.
God loves Zion, which is His kingdom and church on earth. His people are born in her. First Jews and later gentiles.
Psalm 86:1-3 (KJV)
1 Bow down thine ear, O Lord, hear me: for I am poor and needy.
2 Preserve my soul; for I am holy: O thou my God, save thy servant that trusteth in thee.
3 Be merciful unto me, O Lord: for I cry unto thee daily.
Come to God that He may hear and attend to you. Bow down before Him as someone who is poor and needy.
Psalm 85:2,3 (KJV) 2 Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people, thou hast covered all their sin. Selah. 3 Thou hast taken away all thy wrath: thou hast turned thyself from the fierceness of thine anger.
God wants to forgive us and cover our sins with His blood that was shed for us on the cross. Jesus died for our sake.
Psalm 84:10-12 (KJV)
10 For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.
11 For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.
12 O Lord of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.
Jesus is our greater tabernacle for all mankind. Those who trust in the Lord are blessed in this life and the next.
Psalm 83:16-18 (KJV)
16 Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek thy name, O Lord.
17 Let them be confounded and troubled for ever; yea, let them be put to shame, and perish:
18 That men may know that thou, whose name alone is Jehovah, art the most high over all the earth.
Keep your head high. As churches are being burnt down, ransacked, or taken over, know that God is still with you wherever you are.
Psalm 82:1-4 (KJV)
1 God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods.
2 How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah.
3 Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.
4 Deliver the poor and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked.
Jesus is God and stands supreme among the angelic realm, who are the sons of God, or gods.
However, on earth, there are wicked judges.
Psalm 81:1,2 (KJV) 1 Sing aloud unto God our strength: make a joyful noise unto the God of Jacob. 2 Take a psalm, and bring hither the timbrel, the pleasant harp with the psaltery.
Although not perfect, God’s true followers are grateful that Jesus has saved them. Therefore, they gladly worship Him.
Psalm 80:7 (KJV)
7 Turn us again, O God of hosts, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.
