God Wants To Forgive Us

God wants to forgive us and cover our sins with His blood. Jesus’s blood was shed for us on the cross. He died for our sake, but we must accept His sacrifice for us before His mercy comes. Our faith in Jesus allows God’s wrath to be removed and we can finally find rest in His presence. His fierce anger can be a thing of the past with us, but we must come to Him first. There is only joy in the Lord for those in Christ Jesus. Therefore, I ask God to turn people from their sins and to Him for salvation. This way His anger will cease with them also, as with me. David also said, “thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people, thou hast covered all their sin. Selah. Thou hast taken away all thy wrath: thou hast turned thyself from the fierceness of thine anger. Turn us, O God of our salvation, and cause thine anger toward us to cease.” (Psalm 85:2-4)

While in sin, we may think that God will always be angry with us. Thoughts of us and our children’s generation, and their children’s generation, plague our minds while in willful sin. We can feel His fierce anger upon us and not feel worthy of His forgiveness. This does not have to happen. God is able to revive us unto Him, that His mercy will reign upon us and our family that comes to Him. His salvation is for those who call upon His Name. Lastly, David wrote, “wilt thou be angry with us for ever? wilt thou draw out thine anger to all generations? Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee? Shew us thy mercy, O Lord, and grant us thy salvation.” (Psalm 85:5-7) Our time is short on this earth. Don’t let Satan fool you into not coming to Jesus, while staying in willful sin. His mercy is for You, even now. Amen.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray for an urgency to get right with You. There are thousands of more people who could be saved, but they would rather see You in Your wrath than not. How hard is it for them to see themselves as a sinner and a need to get right with You? Why do people resist You and not humble themselves at Your feet for mercy? God, if any of these people are reading this prayer now, wake them up to righteousness, holiness, and purity. Help them know that our bodies are a temple of the living God, and that we ought to treat them this way also. It is my desire to point these people to You. I lift my finger up to the heavens and say, look to Jesus and be saved. You have the power to do all things. Even to save me, a vile sinner, and awake me to righteousness. I love You, Lord. Your mercy endures forever. Have Your way in my life. Amen.
