The sons of Zedekiah were killed before their father’s eyes. King Nebuchadnezzar was ruthless before admitting that God is real.
Psalm 103:11,12 (KJV)

God is willing to forgive all our sins. Nothing we have ever done is too sinful that the Lord God is able to pardon.

20 To hear the groaning of the prisoner; to loose those that are appointed to death;
I was far gone, but in my prayers to God, I found freedom from sin, and now the Holy Spirit is ever with me.
John 10:16 (KJV)
16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.
Other sheep is speaking of the Gentiles, which were once not part of the fold in Israel. They are now gathered in through faith in Jesus.
Ezekiel 37:21-24 (KJV)
21 And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land:
22 And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all.
23 Neither shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions: but I will save them out of all their dwellingplaces, wherein they have sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they be my people, and I will be their God.
24 And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them.
The true meaning for the two sticks are two nations coming together under the rule of David, not the Bible and Book of Mormon.

Sola Scriptura means that the Bible is the only infallible rule for theology. We know the Bible to be inerrant.
Psalm 101:3-5 (KJV)
3 I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me.
4 A froward heart shall depart from me: I will not know a wicked person.
5 Whoso privily slandereth his neighbour, him will I cut off: him that hath an high look and a proud heart will not I suffer.
When we are living for Jesus, we are careful to not allow wicked things in our lives. We hate the work of those who willfully sin.
Matthew 25:44-46 (KJV)
44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.
46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
Mormons like to over complicate what it means to be saved. Instead of believing that our faith alone in Jesus saves us.
Revelation 14:10,11 (KJV)
10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.
There is a real lake of fire. The wicked are cast their after judgment is set, and are, therefore, tormented day and night.
John 3:1-7 (KJV)

2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.

4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?
5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
All people must be born again in order to inherit the kingdom of God. This is to be born of water and later the Spirit.
Numbers 27:15,16 (KJV)
15 And Moses spake unto the Lord, saying,
16 Let the Lord, the God of the spirits of all flesh, set a man over the congregation,
Our God is the creator of every person on earth. There is no prejudice with God. He even calls the human race very good in His sight.
We are told by Jesus to not judge according to the skin color of people. How God treats everyone equally no matter their skin color.
John 20:27:29 (KJV)
27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.
28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.
29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
Jesus atoned for our sins while on the cross, was buried, and then rose from the grave. This saying is true and faithful.
Romans 5:6-9 (KJV)
6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.
8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
Jesus came into this world to save us from our sins. This act of love took place the moment He was raised up on the cross at Calvary.
John 19:26-30 (KJV)
26 When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son!
27 Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home.
28 After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst.
29 Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a spunge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth.
30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
It is finished means that Jesus suffered for our sins and his work is finished. Through His death, the sins of the world have been paid.
Acts 7:47,48 (KJV)
47 But Solomon built him an house.
48 Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet,
God does not approve of temples made with hands. That means everything that happens in the Mormon temples.
