Mormon Missionaries: Teach A False Atonement

The Mormon missionaries are coming after our Christian families. As they come knocking our doors, we need to be on our toes, for they are anxious to instill their cultist teachings into our belief system no matter what it takes.  These people do not have the truth of God, but a fabrication of it from Satan. For a few months of their mission, they send these young 18 to 21-year-old boys and girls to a missionary training center, in order to indoctrinate them some more in their most essential church doctrines. This is all done to instill confidence in them and to help them be persuasive while on their mission. These kids are very crafty in how they trick people into believing man-made doctrines. I will admit that many of their teachings sound good on paper, although when tested with the Bible it goes against God’s Word in so many ways. Here are just a few of those false teachings…
1. Atonement in the garden (this message).
2. Baptism is necessary for salvation.
3. Eternal marriage.
4. Exaltation to godhood.
5. First Vision, where Joseph Smith saw Jesus and the Father.
6. Plan Of Salvation, where everyone can receive a baptism and go to heaven.
7. Pre-existence for humans.
8. Works For the Dead in the Temple.
9. Works Salvation.

All these teachings are complete heresy. Now, because of the importance of exposing what is false, we will address each one of them, starting with the atonement in this message.  They blaspheme Jesus by saying that He started the atonement in the garden and not on the cross. They read a few verses in Luke and take them out of context. It reads, “and when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation. And he was withdrawn from them about a stone’s cast, and kneeled down, and prayed, Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him. And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.” (Luke 22:40-44) There is nothing about a blood atonement, but being comforted while praying.

But it doesn’t stop here. It is their Book of Mormon that causes these people to think that the atonement happened in the garden. This is the root cause of why they feel and believe this way about the garden. It is also the real reason why they misinterpret the verses in Luke. These verses read, “and lo, he shall suffer temptations, and pain of body, hunger, thirst, and fatigue, even more than man can suffer, except it be unto death; for behold, blood cometh from every pore, so great shall be his anguish for the wickedness and the abominations of his people.” (Mosiah 3:7) Any missionary you talk to, in regards to the atonement in the garden, will say that Jesus bled from every pore. Where does this thinking come from? In the verses you just read from the Book of Mormon, of course. It is of the devil to change the importance of Jesus’s sacrifice on the cross, and instead move his suffering for sins from the cross to the garden.

Thankfully, the Bible teaches us where the atonement actually takes place. Paul taught that through Jesus’s death, atonement was made for us. “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.” (Romans 5:8-11) The atonement, being when Jesus died on the cross, is not accepted in Mormonism, and instead, they put up with believing in a false atonement. In conclusion, it is clear that Jesus died for our sins and this is where the atonement was made according to Romans. This is God’s truth, of which Mormons and their missionaries want nothing of. Amen.
