People are in captivity for their lack of knowledge. These are they, who are of the world and cannot ever be filled. Hell is expanding with these types of individuals, and the sad thing is, more people are entering in this fiery furnace than ever before. It opens up its mouth to receive every worker of iniquity upon death. Even people who feel like they are saved, but deep down have denied God and His messengers the entire time. There goes down into this terrible place all walks of life, including billionaires, kings, presidents, music artists, sports athletes, and even the most common men and women. Isaiah wrote, “therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge: and their honourable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst. Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it.” (Isaiah 5:13,14)
People who are in bad company with God are not only people whom Jesus doesn’t know, but those who justify their sins and call evil good. Many of these people even talk down to people who keep which is good. They love darkness more than God’s light. It is spoken, “woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” (Isaiah 5:20) This speaks of the LGBTQ and their gay pride festivals, which are so evil and full of darkness. People that die and wake up in hell are those who are wise in their own eyes. Their pride keeps them from learning from God and gaining His wisdom instead. Many of them have drinking problems and are involved in drunkenness and the bar scene. These strong drinks cause them to lose sight of righteous judgment, as their minds are clouded over. All righteousness from God, that they once had is now gone.
The Bible speaks of the unrighteous. These are willful sinners who are involved with having sex outside of marriage, homosexuality, pornography, masturbation, adultery, desiring to become God, worshipping false gods, coveting what we don’t have, getting drunk, stealing, and much. Paul wrote, “know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. and such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.” (1 Corinthians 6:9-11) Only the blood of Jesus can cover a multitude of sins, while forgiving. We are saved from the wrath to come.
People deny Jesus and therefore, experience hellfire and damnation come death, which is so terrible. The same people have cast away God’s laws, while putting them in the past. Many despise God’s Words in the Bible, and/or would rather read other books or watch TV instead. Speaking of this, Isaiah wrote, “woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight! Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink: Which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him! Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumeth the chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the LORD of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.” (Isaiah 5:21-24) If what I have described in this message applies to your life, then come back to the Lord today. Oh Lord, I pray that people will escape the flames of hell fire come death. Surely, people that die in their willful sins, unbelief, and false beliefs, are those who are terrified when they awake from death. God, I feel terrible for these lost souls that think they have nothing to fear come death. I have spoken to many people that think that they will be just fine when they die, even though they are unsaved. Lord, open their eyes so that they may see the destruction that goes before them. Many people live presumptuous lives, but in reality, they are lost and are never filled. Only You, Jesus, give us living water that springs up unto everlasting life. You are the One who gives us manna from heaven, of whom our souls are filled. You are the bread of life, from whom I receive true wisdom that I need to be happy. I don’t need the best things in life, but what You can offer me, Lord. I love Your laws and Words in scripture, enough to obey You. Speak to me, God, I am listening. I love You, Jesus. Amen.
Among the hardest to reach are not those in the bars, but the self-righteous. It was the same in Jesus’ Day.
