Mormons like to use scare tactics in order to keep people from leaving their cult. They use phrases like “sons of perdition” and apostates for people who do, and leave a stern warning for them also. They go so far as to say that their sins are not forgiven and that they have committed the unpardonable sin. How in Mormonism the Holy Ghost bore witness of the truth and now they deny it. Therefore, outer darkness awaits them. Joseph Smith taught this. He said, “All sins shall be forgiven, except the sin against the Holy Ghost; for Jesus will save all except the sons of perdition. What must a man do to commit the unpardonable sin? He must receive the Holy Ghost, have the heavens opened unto him, and know God, and then sin against Him. After a man has sinned against the Holy Ghost, there is no repentance for him. He has got to say that the sun does not shine while he sees it; he has got to deny Jesus Christ when the heavens have been opened unto him, and to deny the plan of salvation with his eyes open to the truth of it; and from that time he begins to be an enemy. This is the case with many apostates of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. (Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, p.358)
This blasphemous teaching continues. “The extent of this punishment none will ever know except those who partake of it. That it is the most severe punishment that can be meted out to man is apparent. Outer darkness is something which cannot be described, except that we know that it is to be placed beyond the benign and comforting influence of the Spirit of God — banished entirely from his presence.” (Doctrines of Salvation, 2:219-221) What I just mentioned happens a lot with a variety of cults. Not only do they wipe their feet off from people who leave their cult, but also damn them to hell. This is exactly what the Mormon false prophets like to do. “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.” (2 Corinthians 11:13-15) Speaking of these false teachers, do not listen to them. Leaving Mormonism for Christ’s sake is the best decision people will ever make. Only Jesus saves, not a religion. Resign from Mormonism today! Amen.
Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray for the cultists in Mormonism. Surely, the majority of them don’t realize how far gone they really are. This grieves my soul just to think about the path they are on. There is death and destruction for the wicked, and I fear that they will be found with them as idolaters. Surely, many of them love Joseph Smith more than You. They praise him in song like he is god. This is such blasphemy. Oh, how I wish I could reach them for Your cause. I have brought up many times how exalting themselves to godhood is idolatry, and in the same fashion is their worship of Joseph Smith. Why is it that I can find so many different things that they believe in that are false according to the Bible, and they still won’t listen? How is it that these people have become so hard-hearted? This is the question I’ve wondered about for years and have finally found out why. Thank You, Lord, for bringing this to my attention. It is because they have been brainwashed into believing that people who leave Mormonism are the “sons of perdition” that they would never wish to leave it. How becoming an apostate would mean being cast off into outer darkness after judgment. This is such a false teaching which keeps many of them from not resigning. But Lord, You can do all things as to save the least of them. I love You. Amen.
