Great Is The Lord

Great is the Lord. It is wonderful to praise Him. Wherever I am, I think upon Jesus and His awesome presence is with me. We are so blessed that we can go directly to God wherever we are and not have to travel a long distance to Mount Zion. Back then it was a joy to go to the temple of the Lord, in order to sacrifice unto God. They did this as often as they could in order to have their sins forgiven and their families. This has all been fulfilled with Jesus, who is God, coming to earth in order to sacrifice for our sins. To praise Him is the least we can do as believers. David wrote, “great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of his holiness. Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King. God is known in her palaces for a refuge.” (Psalm 48:1-3) We can all find peace with the Holy Spirit in our lives. This is because God is our refuge.

Where God is, there is love and kindness. Jesus is the greater tabernacle for us. He speaks directly to us now through the power of the Holy Spirit. Praises to Jesus, who is God. Let God’s praise extend to the ends of the earth. His right hand is full of righteousness. Be sure to be found on His right hand where His sheep are. These are those who saved. The goats, or the unsaved are on His left side. We are glad because we were rightly judged in this life and are made clean through Jesus’s blood. David continued and said, “we have thought of thy lovingkindness, O God, in the midst of thy temple. According to thy name, O God, so is thy praise unto the ends of the earth: thy right hand is full of righteousness. Let mount Zion rejoice, let the daughters of Judah be glad, because of thy judgments.” (Psalm 48:9-11) Now rejoice in the Lord. Continue to have God in your thoughts on a daily basis, for then His presence will be forever with you. Amen.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray that people in this nation and in all the world will begin to give You praise. I am not talking about one day out of the week while at church, but every day of our lives. God, just to think of You brings me such happiness and peace. There are many people that mock me because of my faithfulness to You. The truth is, these mockers will have to pay dearly in the next life if they do not repent and get right with You, Lord. Forever and ever will I give You praise. No matter if laughers and scoffers come my way, I will praise You in their presence. No matter if persecutors come my way and people want to take away my life, because of my faith in You, Jesus, I say let it be done according to Your word. I will go down fighting the good fight with You by my side until the end. I know that after this life is over You will raise me up into newness of life. There will be no more tears, sorrow, or death. Thank You, Jesus. I love You, Lord. Amen.
