Joseph Smith was notorious for inserting the Bible into his Book of Mormon. And not just that, but changing many of the verses and chapters in the same fashion. We also see him copy and paste verses and not give the proper person who wrote them the proper citation. This can be seen all over this corrupt book. One such location comes in Moroni, chapter 10, in the Book of Mormon. This is where the letters of Paul to the Corinthians miraculously landed in the hands of Moroni also. In the same fashion, the verses in Moroni were written in the same order and fashion as what we see in 1 Corinthians, chapter 12. Paul wrote, “4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5 And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. 6 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. 7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. 8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; 9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; 10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues.” (1 Corinthians 12:4-10)
Notice the verses in bold that speak of the gifts of the Spirit, which come upon those who are born again. I bold them since they are seen in the same order below in Moroni. It is written, “8 And again, I exhort you, my brethren, that ye deny not the gifts of God, for they are many; and they come from the same God. And there are different ways that these gifts are administered; but it is the same God who worketh all in all; and they are given by the manifestations of the Spirit of God unto men, to profit them. 9 For behold, to one is given by the Spirit of God, that he may teach the word of wisdom; 10 And to another, that he may teach the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; 11 And to another, exceedingly great faith; and to another, the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; 12 And again, to another, that he may work mighty miracles; 13 And again, to another, that he may prophesy concerning all things; 14 And again, to another, the beholding of angels and ministering spirits; 15 And again, to another, all kinds of tongues; 16 And again, to another, the interpretation of languages and of divers kinds of tongues.” (Moroni 10:8-16) These verses speak for themselves that Joseph Smith plagiarized Paul and many other people in the Bible, including Jesus, all throughout the Book of Mormon. He is a false prophet. Amen.
Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray that more people in the Mormon Church will come out of it and to You for salvation. Many of them hate it when we come to them sharing the true gospel from the Bible. It is like we are disturbing their so-called peace and comfort in their religion. In their minds, it cannot be possible that we could be right and them be wrong. They proclaim that only their church is true and all others are false. This ego mindset would cause anyone to deny what one of Your servants would show them. I cannot tell You how many times I’ve almost given up talking to certain people that are Mormon. God, over time it is like talking to a wall, for I know that nothing is getting through to them. Therefore, I plead and ask that Your Spirit will penetrate their hearts and lead more people that we witness to of their false teachings. This way, they will remove what is false from their lives and follow You completely. Those that come out of this church can know that You are our Lord, Savior, Redeemer, God, and King, Jesus. But much more than this, that You atoned for our sins on the cross alone and no other place. That You are not the brother of Lucifer but his creator and the creator of all other angelic beings also. That modern-day revelations in their church are really doctrines of men, no different than those of the Pharisees. Help them understand that all they need is You, Jesus. Only You can save us. I love You, Lord. Amen.
