Where Is Your Treasure?

Your treasure is where your heart is. If your heart is for treasures on earth than you will have your “portion with the unbelievers.” Beware, lest you be found saying, “I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry.” For time does not appoint us the opportunity to sin against God. If we are not for God we are against Him. “He that layeth up treasure for himself” “is not rich toward God.” If we are unrepentant at the time of death, God will say, “Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee.” Those that build up their treasures in heaven are found worthy before God. Their time is spent reading and obeying the Words of the Bible. In prayer, they find peace in the presence of God. Their life is given over to love one another for they desire to do the will of the Father. Jesus said, “Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. Of a truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath.” Accept Jesus into your life, this day. Turn from your sins and confess that Jesus is Lord of your life. Jesus taught, “Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God: But he that denieth me before men shall be denied before the angels of God.”

There will be a day when Jesus returns to the earth. His wrath will be poured out on the wicked, whereas His love will be bestowed upon the righteous. Are you living for Him? Does your life reflect your love for the Lord? Be not like a person that says “in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken.” Just because Jesus has not come yet it doesn’t give us the right to sin. Do not delay the time of your repentance. Nobody knows the hour, in which, He will return. Jesus may return tomorrow. “The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder.” When Jesus returns, be found worthy before the King. In this, you will receive eternal life in heaven. Your labors will not be in vain. I pray for those that say they believe but their hearts are far from Jesus. Oh Lord, let the hearts of all people that say they have faith bring forth fruits of their discipleship to you. May there be many that are humbled before you. Break their hearts that they may confess that You are Lord of their lives. You are my reward. My desires are that others may come to know You. I love You.

Luke 12:8,9,19-21,43-46 (KJV)
8 Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God:
9 But he that denieth me before men shall be denied before the angels of God.
19 And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry.
20 But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?
21 So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.
43 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
44 Of a truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath.
45 But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken;
46 The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.
