Pornography Is Giving In To Our Lust

I know how tempting it is to give in to the flesh right now, while you are at home. You could turn on your phone or computer and start searching for things that you know are wrong, like porn sites. However, although there is temporary gratification in such things, our conscience is now seared with guilt and shame as a consequence of this. This is not the time to give in to Satan’s power, but be strengthened by the Lord’s hand instead. You may have urges to look at pornography and think that you are well in this, for only you can see what you are looking at, right? However, this may be secretive towards others, but not towards God. He can see us in this broken state and wills us to repent, for time is not on our side when we are walking in darkness. Also, this guilt and shame we feel in these moments of giving in to our lust is not the life of a Christian, but only the life of a person who is alone, without a Savior. The thing is, if you cannot overcome this addiction, then Jesus is not with you. If he was, then you would be given a new heart to walk in his ways, and no longer go after what the world wants. 1“Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul; Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.” (1 Peter 2:11,12) This is God calling us to repentance. If you are under the bondage of sexual sin, then enough is enough. Let God do a work in your life now, that you cannot. Time is on your side if God is working on you. If he isn’t then that is another story that you don’t want to see the outcome of come death.

There is a reason why I tell you that you need Jesus in your life. The reason is that Jesus died for your sins and there is forgiveness and life eternal because of the cross and resurrection. 1“For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously: Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.” (1 Peter 2:21-25) Now, there is a promise for everyone that submits themselves to Jesus. He will not only forgive you and have mercy for your soul, but will also help you change your life. The road is hard without the Lord Jesus, but with Him, there is peace, love, and much joy. His presence will uplift you and take you places you have never thought of before. This is because Jesus loves you so much. It is said, 1“I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.” (1 Peter 2:6) My friends, pornography will be a thing of the past, if you simply let Jesus do a work in your life. He will even make you very peculiar, a person who looks to do God’s will, even unto the praise of His glory, instead of the world. This is so true, and I am an example of God doing this amazing work in my life. I have been set free in the name of Jesus. He has given me the strength to overcome the temptations of the enemy. Praise the Lord. Will you also submit your life also to Christ?

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray that people will see the severity of what they have been looking at on the internet, apps, movies, TV Shows, and in magazines. There is no hiding what we do in Your sight. People can dance around the issue of walking in darkness for many years, but this will only cause them to fear You in death. For they had their time to get themselves right with You, while in this life, but they wasted their opportunity. I can just imagine the type of guilt that would be upon them come judgment day. Just thinking about the number of people in this state of mind, come death, makes me very sad. Lord, I know that pornography is destroying lives and is leading millions of people to hell. Therefore, I pray for a change of heart and mind in the lives of every person in this evil predicament. May these individuals decide once and for all that this addiction is wicked and repent. Our lives are like a vapor and no one knows the time or day that we will die. Therefore, people need to know that You can save them. Even from their evil and vial circumstances, You can help them come out of it. Lord, You did a mighty work in my life, and now I have been set free from the grips of the devil. Even Your blood has covered me and I am now forgiven. Thank You, Lord. With this newfound freedom in You, I just hope that people will see the light in me, and be driven to follow You. I wouldn’t be a man of God if I was to keep You to myself. So it is my desire to open my mouth and share the gospel with anyone that will listen. I know that You can set anybody free from the bondage of sin, and lead them on the path of righteousness. If I am different now, anybody can be. Thank You. I love You, Jesus. Amen.

1 Peter 2
11 Peter 2 (KJV)
1 Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings,
2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
3 If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
4 To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,
5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.
7 Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,
8 And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.
9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;
10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
11 Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.
13 Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme;
14 Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.
15 For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:
16 As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.
17 Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.
18 Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the froward.
19 For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully.
20 For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God.
21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:
22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:
23 Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:
24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
25 For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.
