There are diverse gifts of God. Each person that is a part of God’s kingdom is given one or two or three or more of these gifts. They are spiritual gifts, for they only come from above. Each gift has its own purpose and its uses, in order to help and edify one another in the faith. When speaking of the Gifts of the Spirit, here is why God gives them to us and His church. Paul said, 5“the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.” We are all important to God and therefore, He gives us all unique gifts. One thing to mention, however, is baptism. This is the requirement to obtain any of God’s gifts. Through baptism, we are born again of the water and of the Spirit. 1And to put more importance on this, we cannot enter God’s kingdom unless we are born again. There are just awesome gifts that we gain, when we are adopted into God’s kingdom. Those gifts are mentioned below…
The Gifts Of The Spirit:
51. Word Of Wisdom: Ability to think and act, while utilizing the knowledge of God. You gain insight from God and are able to help others understand God and His Word better. Therefore, applying God’s understanding in your life and life of others is important.
52. Word Of Knowledge: To receive God’s knowledge when different circumstances occur in your life and of others you meet. The Lord will help you know how to deal with the circumstance, in the best way possible.
53. Faith: 8“Is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” We hope in Christ and trust in God’s Word. We need no evidence to believe this. We may not have seen the Lord but trust in God, nonetheless. We are confident in Him and His will for our lives. We look to God and His promises.
54. Gifts Of Healing: To pray over the sick and, by the power of God, heal them. Any and all illnesses can be restored in the name of Jesus. Through our faith in Christ, God can give us this anointing, but only if God wills.
55. Working Of Miracles: To cast our demons, raise people from the dead, healing the sick and any other such things that God desires to do in our lives. There is no limit to the Lord God and His power in our lives and people we touch.
56. Prophesy: To receive God’s Word for yourself and often the benefit of others. When these thoughts or dreams come, write them down immediately. Even word for word, as God speaks. You will then be prompted to share this prophesy and speak as He directs.
57. Discerning Of Spirits: To be able to expose what is really going with somebody. If they are being led by an evil spirit, then it will be well known. When we detect the presence of demons, God can then use us to cast them out.
58. Divers Kinds Of Tongues: To speak in a foreign tongue that you have no knowledge of. This is the ability to speak to people in their own language like at 2Pentecost or by the 6tongue of angels. 4This can be your own personal prayer language between you and the Lord. Unless there is an interpreter in church, you are to keep quiet.
59. Interpretation Of Tongues: To interpret the gift of tongues. This can be your own heavenly tongue that God has given you or to interpret a person with the gift of tongues. 7In church, it does not edify anyone if the gift of tongues is demonstrated but with no interpretation.
Some of you may recognize the gifts of the Spirit in your life and others, not so much. For me, God has given me the gift of wisdom, knowledge, faith, and to discern spirits. These gifts came after I was baptized by the Holy Spirit. It was amazing. 3The moment I went into the water, I felt the cleansing of God. Then, when I came out of the water, I was given new life. The Holy Spirit immediately came over me and filled my soul with gladness. It was as if the fire of God was burning inside of me. Soon after, God started pouring into me. I began to understand His Words and sense His presence stronger than ever. My faith was elevated and I was moved to speak the truth about Jesus and the gospel to everyone. Since then, God has called me to evangelize on the streets and proclaim His good news each week. I am constantly moved to pray for others. In these moments, God has shown me when someone is overtaken by a devil. I may not have cast out demons yet or healed the sick, that I am aware of, but I know that I can still do more for God’s kingdom. You may relate with me and if not, then look at your life. If you are baptized but are far from God, repent today. If you are not baptized, repent and believe in Jesus. Come unto Him and be baptized.
Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray that more people that believe in You, take the extra step and repent and be baptized. So many people in church do not understand the need to be born again of the water and of the Spirit and I pray that this changes. May this teaching be plain in churches that Your gifts of the Spirit are for every person that has committed their life to You, through baptism. I am amazed at the gifts that You have bestowed upon me. Thank You for the gift of wisdom. I am now able to gain Your insight and apply these teachings in my life. Your words of knowledge has helped me grow so much in the faith. You have strengthened my faith, each day that I seek You. You continually pour into my soul and give me guidance. Thank You for opening my mouth and giving me words to speak. I rely on the Spirit, oh Lord. Without the Spirit, I can do nothing. Work through me Lord and help me show kindness towards everyone around me. Also, help others that are seeking You and have not experienced these gifts yet. Help them take the extra steps needed, in order to experience these spiritual gifts for themselves. I know that You can do all things. I trust in You Lord. I love You. Amen.

1John 3:1-8 (KJV)
1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:
2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.
3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?
5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
2Acts 2:1-7 (KJV)
1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
5 And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.
6 Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.
7 And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans?
3Romans 6:1-7 (KJV)
1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.
4Romans 8:20-28 (KJV)
20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,
21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.
23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?
25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.
26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
51 Corinthians 12:1-14 (KJV)
1 Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.
2 Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.
3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.
4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
5 And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.
6 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.
7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.
8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:
11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.
12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.
13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
14 For the body is not one member, but many.
61 Corinthians 13 (KJV)
1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
71 Corinthians 14:12-28 (KJV)
12 Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church.
13 Wherefore let him that speaketh in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret.
14 For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful.
15 What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.
16 Else when thou shalt bless with the spirit, how shall he that occupieth the room of the unlearned say Amen at thy giving of thanks, seeing he understandeth not what thou sayest?
17 For thou verily givest thanks well, but the other is not edified.
18 I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all:
19 Yet in the church I had rather speak five words with my understanding, that by my voice I might teach others also, than ten thousand words in an unknown tongue.
20 Brethren, be not children in understanding: howbeit in malice be ye children, but in understanding be men.
21 In the law it is written, With men of other tongues and other lips will I speak unto this people; and yet for all that will they not hear me, saith the Lord.
22 Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but prophesying serveth not for them that believe not, but for them which believe.
23 If therefore the whole church be come together into one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in those that are unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that ye are mad?
24 But if all prophesy, and there come in one that believeth not, or one unlearned, he is convinced of all, he is judged of all:
25 And thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest; and so falling down on his face he will worship God, and report that God is in you of a truth.
26 How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.
27 If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret.
28 But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God.
8Hebrews 11:1-13 (KJV)
1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
2 For by it the elders obtained a good report.
3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
4 By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.
5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
7 By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.
8 By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.
9 By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:
10 For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
11 Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.
12 Therefore sprang there even of one, and him as good as dead, so many as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as the sand which is by the sea shore innumerable.
13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.
