Don’t ever think that being in the world is ever better than living for God. The devil has deceived many into believing a lie, into thinking that it is OK to find pleasure now, while we are young. The evil one’s plan is to lead people to think that they can just have what they want now and then repent later. Because of this, most people have fallen into their own lusts. They are tied down to things that seem so right. Even the people they have found appear to be perfect for them. They have their same looks and same passion as themselves. But do not be fooled, proverbs 5 talks about a person like this. 1“The lips of a strange woman drop as an honeycomb, and her mouth is smoother than oil: But her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two-edged sword.” The same can be said for all man that lie in wait to deceive. This type of lifestyle can feel so right, in the moment, but then, soon after, pain and regret steps in. And because the sinful lifestyle seemed so easy, it is also hard to resist. Be not deceived by the evil enticing’s of this world. Every time, your sins will eventually catch up to you. This lavish life will get yourselves in a lot of trouble, faster than you’d like. This relationship with people might be severed but what really takes a beating is our relationship with God. These addictions lead people to have hardship and tension in their relationships, where many people can no longer confide in them. Even job loss comes from a reckless life, such as this. Do not follow in this path. It is only leading to your destruction. Leading this type of life is also one step closer to death, until your 1“steps take hold on hell”.
Do not fall victim to the evils of this world but put your trust in God. God is calling you out. He says, My daughter and 1“my son, attend unto my wisdom, and bow thine ear to my understanding.” He is asking that you remove your heart from anything that doesn’t give Him honor and praise. 1“Lest thou give thine honour unto other” and be found wanting in death. God pleads that you no longer take pleasure in the flesh but seek pleasure in the ways of the Spirit. If your heart has been moved to follow the Lord above all else, then also regard the discretion of God. 1“That thy lips may keep knowledge,” and walk thereafter. No longer 1“ponder the path of life” in the ways of darkness but come to God in prayer for wisdom. Openly confess your sins before the God of the heavens. With all humbleness, ask for forgiveness. If you are sincere, then God’s mercy will be upon you. Your sins will be covered by the blood of Jesus. The Lord is pleading for us to come to Him. He asks us to lay down our sins at His feet. Any addiction, that has you bound, the Lord can set you free. There is nothing we have ever done that the Lord will not forgive. His mercy is for all. Listen to God now when He says, 1“hear me now therefore, O ye children, and depart not from the words of my mouth.” He is here to give you wisdom and direction. God is able to build us up and give us enough strength to stand tall and resist temptation. We are not able to live a good life on our own, but all things are possible with the presence of God in our lives. Seek the Lord first, 2“and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
Let us pray:
I pray this day Lord, that people of all ways of life will come out of their shadows and seek something greater in life. May they see down deep in their soul that they are lost and need a Savior. Open their eyes to the evils of this world. Help them see the hole they are in. May these people come out of their place of darkness and seek what is light. I know that they can only find the goodness, that the flesh truly desires, in You. People can create all kinds of substitutions for love but it will all come to an end, some day. Only Your love is eternal. Only it will radiate for all times and season. Lift these people out of their bondage. Help break the chains of addictions. Humble them, that they may repent and be made clean, even this very hour. Come inside of them and cast away all sin. May they be filled with the Spirit of God. Oh Lord, I pray for this transformation to start today. I hope to see all these wonderful people inside Your fold. This is my heart’s desire, to help lead them to You. My life is for You Lord, and Your people. I love You. Amen.
