Without God leading a church, many things can creep in without people knowing. False doctrines can be instituted as if God commanded it. These times we live in are very dark, indeed. We must be on our toes and be willing to test all religious teachings to see if they are correct. In doing so, if any religion decides to add in another book to the Bible, we must test it. We already know that the Bible is the Word of God and for this, I challenge any other book that says it is also God’s Word. Let’s focus our attention on the Mormon Church. They have in their midst many other books, one of them indicates that it is “Another Testament Of Jesus Christ”. This is a bold claim and must be examined carefully. We could just throw it out but today, I will examine it with a fine-toothed comb, lest it harm people and lead them to hell. Before we begin, I will take away my point of view, until examination declares it is false. Let’s test a few verses in the Book of Mormon (BOM) to see if it is true or false! We will look at Mosiah (BOM Book), chapter 4, verses 2 and 3. In that chapter, it is recorded that before Jesus Christ’s birth, people were being forgiven by the blood of Jesus. Let’s examine what this really means, compared to the Bible.
The Book of Mormon claims that if we lived before the birth of Jesus, we can be forgiven by the blood of Jesus. This is contrary to the Bible. 1In the Old Testament time, people were forgiven by animal sacrifices, upon an altar. However, they were not forgiven by the blood of Jesus. This did not take place until He came into the world and died on the cross. So if this is how the book reads, then it is blasphemy to God’s Word. Mosiah reads (BOM Book), “O have mercy, and apply the atoning blood of Christ that we may receive forgiveness of our sins”. This may sound good and all but this took place around 124 B.C. Seeing that Jesus’s blood atonement was used prior to Jesus’s birth, indicates a man wrote this in. Joseph Smith, was pretty naive, to have his writer pencil this in. He must have had limited knowledge of the Bible. Let’s now look at the name, Jesus. The Lord’s Name was never mentioned, in this fashion, in Old Testament times. Anybody that reads the Bible would spot this right away. To conclude, Jesus did come into the world and 2“died for our sins according to the scriptures”. His blood was spilt on the cross. Through Jesus, we have forgiveness of sins. The Book of Mormon’s teaching is a lie. That makes the book false. Don’t trust it. Beware of false teachers, prophets, churches and books. Keep your eyes opened that you may not be led astray.
Let us pray:
Lord, keep our eyes opened. Let us not be given over to any wind of doctrine. If people try to bring in other books of scripture, let us be ready to challenge it, instead of readily accepting it. From the examination of the Book of Mormon, I know that there are millions of people being led astray, in the Mormon Church. I pray for them at this hour of need. They have surely been blinded with the addition of their books. The Holy Spirit testifies of what is true and what is a lie. Thank You for showing me the way. I am grateful that you took me from this false religion. Sure, I was pained inside, for having lived it all my life but the alternative was better. To be safe within Your arms is better than false security. It may seem hard to believe that I followed this religion for so long but I know Lord that You weren’t the reason. Satan had a strong hold on me, like he has on everyone in that church. Lord, break their chains, this day. If they want to know You and be free, open their eyes also to the truth. Thank You for saving me. I love You. Amen.
Let us read the Bible:

1Leviticus 17:1-11 (KJV)
1 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
2 Speak unto Aaron, and unto his sons, and unto all the children of Israel, and say unto them; This is the thing which the Lord hath commanded, saying,
3 What man soever there be of the house of Israel, that killeth an ox, or lamb, or goat, in the camp, or that killeth it out of the camp,
4 And bringeth it not unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, to offer an offering unto the Lord before the tabernacle of the Lord; blood shall be imputed unto that man; he hath shed blood; and that man shall be cut off from among his people:
5 To the end that the children of Israel may bring their sacrifices, which they offer in the open field, even that they may bring them unto the Lord, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, unto the priest, and offer them for peace offerings unto the Lord.
6 And the priest shall sprinkle the blood upon the altar of the Lord at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and burn the fat for a sweet savour unto the Lord.
7 And they shall no more offer their sacrifices unto devils, after whom they have gone a whoring. This shall be a statute for ever unto them throughout their generations.
8 And thou shalt say unto them, Whatsoever man there be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers which sojourn among you, that offereth a burnt offering or sacrifice,
9 And bringeth it not unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, to offer it unto the Lord; even that man shall be cut off from among his people.
10 And whatsoever man there be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn among you, that eateth any manner of blood; I will even set my face against that soul that eateth blood, and will cut him off from among his people.
11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.
21 Corinthians 15:1-4 (KJV)
1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
