I thank the Lord for this wonderful night. God did things tonight that I never thought could be possible. All it took was trusting in Him and He took over. Jesus was in control of what I said and did and it paid off in dividends. I was always hoping for a night where people would be drawn to follow Jesus and abide by the Word of God and it all fell into place this evening. It all started when I met these two young women at a coffee house. They were upstairs, in the prayer room, when I met them. I could have left them alone and said nothing but instead I did as the Spirit moved me. I told them about our Thursday and Friday evangelism ministries and invited them out to come with us. I showed them how to find the schedules for when we meet up, on my devotional site, and they were both very encouraged to join in. After talking with them both for a while, and praying with them, one of them said, as she was leaving, that she would be with us next week on Friday. Praise the Lord for giving me boldness to invite them out. Then as we walked the streets, I noticed a few of the guys with us were talking with Mormon sister missionaries. As I looked at two of them, I was drawn in by the Spirit to talk with them. So I introduced myself and started sharing my love for Jesus. I gave them a card to my devotional site and told them how important it is to make Jesus a priority of our daily life. To lift Him up above all things. 3Like James, Chapter 4, teaches, the members of our body continue to wrestle with the lusts of the flesh. We aren’t able to tame these desires without the Lord. Only He can deliver us from temptation. We talked a lot more and then prayed together. It was such an amazing time to be with them. God be praised.
As the night went on, I went to my normal spot to preach the Word of God. I began to ask the people, passing by me, if they have a Bible and if so, to read it. 1To delight in reading God’s Word. It is a blessing to have the Word of God in our lives. We are so blessed to be led by the God of the heavens. I asked the people to cherish every day that they have to read it and pray to God often. 2We are to live by every word of God. As I was walking towards a fountain, I saw some teenage boys just having some fun together. Upon walking up to them I asked them if they had a Bible. To my amazement, they all said no, but every one of them wanted one. In my bag, I had two Bibles and 3 gospel of John booklets. So I started passing them out to each of them. What is so awesome, is the boys were all battling to get one of the two Bible. I was started to give the last Bible to this boy and his friend took it out of my hands. So I ended up giving him a gospel of john pamphlet instead, along with the rest of the boys. How awesome is it to see people so excited to have the Word of God in their lives. One of them told me that before every football game he would read the Bible in order to be strengthened. Another said, I will read the Bible twice a day. I was so encouraged to see their willingness to read God’s Word. Before I left them, I told them that we are all sinners and need Jesus’s blood to cover us. We don’t have a way to escape temptation but we can find a way out with the Spirit of God in our lives. As they left, they were so excited to follow Jesus. Praise the Lord. Before the night ended, I spoke with one other gentlemen. Though He wasn’t walking in the light of Jesus now, He was open to the message of the Lord. I pray that the seeds we planted with Him may sprout. I stand in awe at everything God did tonight.
Let us pray:
Oh Lord, this night could not have gone better. You were in control of it from the start and for that reason it was amazing. I couldn’t have ever thought of a more fruitful night than this. Thank You Lord. I couldn’t have done anything without You at the head. Your Spirit spoke through me and brought peace and love into so many different lives. I am grateful that You could use me to declare Your good news. It surely is delightful to be in Your service. There is no other place I’d rather be than to be in Your presence and doing Your work. Your harvest is great and I do pray that more laborers will come. Imagine what could happen if even ten people came out to share Your love with others. Even twenty people could touch so many more lives. Holy Spirit, bring everyone that loves You into Your harvest. Give them courage to come out and witness for You. Like this women I met on passing said, we are all called to witness for Your Name. I know this is true. It is the calling for each of our lives. It is a joy to share Your glorious light with others. I love You. Amen.
