How can one say they believe in Jesus but still remain in their sins? It is our walk with God that determines if we are worthy before Him. If our works are not for the glory of God than they are not pleasing to Him. It is the Lord that has power to make our souls alive. Jesus declared to the church in Sardis, “I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.” To be worthy of the Lord you must make Him the centerpiece of your lives. If your feet are steadfast in His ways than you will be worthy to meet the Lord after death or at His coming. He asks us to “be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die.” When our eyes are fastened on God we will know His will for our lives and others. Strengthen your faith daily in the Bible and it will be made firm. If you call yourself a Christian than your life is for Christ. “Hold fast, and repent” for the Lord is ready and willing to forgive that that seek Him. His hour is at hand and those that are in His service will be ready. For His Saints are watchful and ready to receive Him in all His glory. To the unbelievers and unrepentant, Jesus said “I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you.”
I pray that you put on the armor of God. That Jesus can be your shield in time of need. If you are waging a war over sin, turn from your evil ways. No longer put off your time for repentance. Put on a sense of urgency to change your life for Christ. Don’t delay for there is no joy for those outside the Kingdom of God. You will be blessed forever if you make this decision to walk with Christ. His love will change you from the inside out. Through His mercy and grace your sins will be forgiven. All He asks is that you turn from your wickedness and come to Him in prayer. He will break your chains of addiction. Those that no longer defile their garments and walk with the Lord will be found worthy in His presence. The Lord proclaims, “He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.” Thank You Lord for saving my life from destruction. You turned my life around and I can finally see clearly. Through your blood, that was shed on the cross, I am made clean. Through Your mercy I am forgiven. Through Your love I have hope. You are my King who I worship. I will follow You all my days. I love You.
Revelation 3:1-6 (KJV)
1 And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.
2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.
3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.
4 Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.
5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
6 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
