Speaking against the practice of sexual immorality is a theme throughout the writings of the Bible. It is made clear in scripture that sexual immorality is an abomination in the eyes of God. It was then and still is widely practiced behind closed doors. The Lord opened the eyes of John to this great wickedness when He spoke to the church in Pergamos. “But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication. So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitanes, which thing I hate.” Everyone found living in sexual sin at the Lord’s Coming or death will be cast in hell to be forever tormented. Jesus asks those addicted to pornography to no more live in secret but confess openly their sins and repent. He asks all those men and women living a sexual lifestyle before marriage to turn away from their wickedness and repent. In the eyes of the Lord sex is for true intimacy between man and woman in marriage. Because nobody knows how much time we really have on earth our time to repent is now. No more live a life contrary to God but fall down on your knees and ask for forgiveness. His mercy is for all that turn from their sins and follow the Lord. All it takes is a change of heart and you will soon find the greatest joy in Jesus Christ.

When Jesus speaks about Sexual Immorality He speaks as one holding a sharp two-edged sword. The wrath of God is laid up for those living this sinful lifestyle. When He returns His faithful will be lifted up with Him in heaven. To the unrepentant, He will come and “fight against them with the sword of” His mouth. It would not be wise to battle with the Lord. Lay down the desires of your flesh, this day, and have an ear to hear to what the Lord has to offer you. “To him who overcomes I will give some of the hidden manna to eat. And I will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written which no one knows except him who receives it.” My life was once given over to pornography but with Jesus’s hand in my life He has given me strength to overcome it. It was a heavy weight to bear for many years until I gave Him my whole heart. Now Jesus is my shield when Satan tempts me. I know He will bear you up, as well, if you come to Him in prayer and repent. Oh Lord, Your mercy has saved me from utter destruction. I was lost to the lusts of the flesh for years until you rescued me. I could never have changed my life around so quickly if it wasn’t for your great love. The joy you’ve delivered me has driven my passion to live in Your holiness. You’ve given me hope to live a better life. Each day I live for You I am way more fulfilled than ever before. You have opened my eyes to your great glory. Thank You for your forgiveness. Thank You for your mercy. I love You.

Revelation 2:12-17 (KJV)
12 And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things saith he which hath the sharp sword with two edges;
13 I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan’s seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.
14 But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication.
15 So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitanes, which thing I hate.
16 Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.
17 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.

My life is dedicated to sharing the love of Jesus to the world. I love the Lord and want everyone to feel the same love. I would feel awful if I kept His joy to myself. For this I write daily devotionals to lead people to Christ. Jesus is the anchor of my soul.
