Jesus said, 1“I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.” The victory over death has been won through the resurrection of Christ. All He asks of us is, “Do you believe this?” Do You believe in Jesus? He asks this question to all people. Even those that profess to know Him, for not all give Him their whole hearts. It is one thing to say we believe and another to believe in words and deeds. When Martha was asked this question she said, 1“Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world.” She had walked with Him and knew that only through Jesus we can be saved. She believed in the Lord’s promises and said to Jesus, 1“I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee.” Her faith was sure in the Lord. She knew that she would rise again after death, to life eternal, through her belief in Jesus.
I pray that our faith may be like Martha’s. Let us give our lives to Christ and live for Him. Death will come to each of us. It is our faith that determines our outcome. If we believe in Jesus we will one day rise in the 1“resurrection at the last day” to life eternal. We will be with the Lord in heaven. Belief in the Lord Jesus Christ means putting our trust in Him. We confide in Him for wisdom. We rely on Him when times are hard. Our hearts are convicted through His love. It is this belief that our lives are changed. We are born again. We no longer desire to live for the world but for God. He fulfills our souls. Oh Lord, thank You for Your saving grace. I am anxious to one day be resurrected to live with You for eternity. When You call my name, I will rise. When I see Your Face I will fall down and worship You. You are my King. You are worthy of all praise. You bring much joy to my life. I love You.
