It is important to ask Jesus to judge us, convict us of our sins, deliver us, and then plead our case before the Father. When we do this, we must be sincere or else nothing will happen in our lives for His kingdom. You do this by making God your strength. Those who are serious about their salvation with God will not be cast off. If you feel this way, then confess your sins to God today so that you can be made clean. When the enemy comes and afflicts us, ask the Lord to come and wipe away those tears, in order to give you peace. Only God is capable of lighting up our path and leading us into all truth. People in the faith should also encourage others to walk in God’s ways. David spoke on all this as he wrote, “judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation: O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man. For thou art the God of my strength: why dost thou cast me off? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy? O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles.” (Psalm 43:1-3)
Go to the altar, where God is in prayer. Where the Lord is, there is joy. I love to go to church and sing songs of praise with those who play many different instruments. All this is done to glorify God and not man. Because of our sins, we can feel cast down and unworthy before God. We can feel that God is distant and no longer hearing our prayers. As we continue to come to God in prayer and do His will, this soon changes. When this happens, we praise the Lord again, and God gives us a glowing countenance. This is all summed up by the hand of David when he wrote, “Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy: yea, upon the harp will I praise thee, O God my God. Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.” (Psalm 43:4,5) It is my prayer that God’s countenance will be upon me at all times. That His presence will ever be with me. If this is your heart also, then you are set free. You can be at peace that in death, heaven awaits. Amen.
Let us pray:
Oh Lord, my God, lead me and others in the faith to heaven. In this life, there is true joy and peace found in You, my Lord. I am not free from trials, tribulations, temptations, sickness, pain, sorrow, or death, but in all these things Your peace is beyond my understanding. Without You, I can only wrestle with the things of this world and not find the answers I need. All this has changed since I received You, Jesus, into my life. All the darkness is scattered, as You have ushered in Your bounteous light. Thank You for helping me see, think, and hear clearly. All my senses are open because You are now with me. Thank You for healing me as I was blind and could not see. I was deaf in the things of the Spirit until You healed me. Thank You, Lord You are the one that helps me think clearly, instead of my thoughts being overcome by the evils of this world. I was wretched and so lost until the day that You came and rescued me. You heard my cries and had mercy upon my soul. I give You praise, God. My hope is in You. I will live for You now and forever. I love You, Jesus. Amen.
