It is important to seek out the Lord in these darken times. There are many great temptations out there that can take a toll on us if God isn’t in our hearts. We live in a day where pornography is running rampant. It takes the heart of a person and makes lust seem like happiness. We must watch out or our thoughts on marriage may change. Instead of preparing for a virtuous spouse we may find this not to be important. When sexual sin is in a person’s life, the eyes are no longer focused on one person. The sinner finds gratification from many people. Their thoughts are full of covetousness for another. This is grievous in the sight of God. Just like Isaac and Rebekah were grieved by the acts of Esau for taking two wives, our God is saddened when we go down the road of sexual sin. We are cut off from God when our hearts are entangled in addiction.
We must not look upon another to lust. Every person is important in the sight of God. We are only corrupting another person’s life when we engage in our lustful thoughts with another. All of you that are mixed up in sexual sin, I plead that you give it to God. The Lord has His arms wide open to accept you back. Come to Him in prayer. Plead for the Lord’s forgiveness. Ask for the His assistance to take away the sin. Ask that your thoughts may be made clean. Ask that the Lord be a shield when temptation strikes. There is power in the name of Jesus. He can break any chain that has you captive. Our lives are set free through the blood of Christ. Rise up and fill your time in prayer and reading the Word of God. The Bible was left as a guide. If we follow the Lord’s guidelines than we will be eternally blessed. Our hearts will begin to love the Lord and cast aside temptation.
Genesis 26:34-35
34 When Esau was forty years old, he took as wives Judith the daughter of Beeri the Hittite, and Basemath the daughter of Elon the Hittite.
35 And they were a grief of mind to Isaac and Rebekah.
