A life full of the Spirit is God's will for us all. However, few live a life like this because they do not seek Him.
Living for Christ is a way of living. It isn't just a one day a week thing. Every day, we give it all to God.
From Abraham to David did Jesus, our Savior, come into this world. What wonderful men who loved the Lord and gave Him praise.
Oh Lord, my God, it is wonderful to think of You, during this time of year. It is amazing to think of how You came into this world as promised by the prophets of old. Even your lineage is of David and Abraham, whom loved you from the beginning. Surely, to be of Your descent is glorious indeed. What a gift it was for the people that were a part of where it all started. I am grateful that Abraham was true to You and never gave up on your promises to Him. I am also so grateful for David. That He came back to You, Lord. His praises fill me up with joy. I know that it was all for Your glory, for You deserve the highest praise. Even Solomon was in your line and how knowledge he was. His words were and still are inspirational to us all. Thank You for speaking through these men. I have learned so much from their words and I know it is because You were a part of it. Nothing is good unless You have a hand in it, God. I pray that we will ever remember You, during this Christmas season. That we will understand why we celebrate Christmas and it is because of You, Jesus. You came into the world to save us all from our sins. I am so blessed. Thank You for Your mercy. I am saved by Your grace. Your forgiveness has changed my life. I love You and praise You, Lord. Amen.
Matthew 1:1,2 (KJV)
1 The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.
2 Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat Judas and his brethren;
So often we read the story of Jesus’s birth but do not give much credence to His genealogy and where Continue Reading
In this Christmas season, we focus on Jesus. We do not think of Santa and such, as those things only get in the way of His worship.
Oh Lord, I pray that people will think about You even more so during this Christmas season. It is surely a wonderful time for families to get together and enjoy each other's company. It is also fun for many people to turn on the TV and watch the Christmas Classics. People also focus their attention on Santa Clause and that brings them joy. Sure, the family part may be good and all, but all these other things are distractions for Your true worship. During this time of year, it not about focusing our time on things that don't exist and don't matter. It is a time to celebrate Your birth and tell others of what You've done. As believers, we come and worship You Lord. We don't want anything at all to distract us from worshiping You. You are our King and Lord of all. Other things can try to replace the moment and the most special time of the year but it will never replace Your love and peace. You are my strength and my hope. My promises are in Your, my Savior. I pray that all Christians will turn to You and give You the worship that You deserve. I praise You Lord. I rejoice in Your birth. Thank You for coming down and saving us from our sins. I am eternally grateful. I love You. Amen.
We learn that Jesus was called Emmanuel, for He is God with us. And surely the Lord God was with them and will forever be with us. Continue Reading
Matthew 1:23-25 (KJV)
23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
24 Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:
25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name Jesus.
To worship the Lord God is to go all in for Him. Our hearts and minds are on Jesus. We seek His presence, while in the Spirit.
Real worship is our time with the Lord in prayer, in Bible study, in song, and in doing His work, while in the Spirit.
The calling of the Holy Spirit to repent isn’t always welcoming to people, but always right nonetheless.
Many people do not repent and heed God's call for their lives, because they are content with their current lifestyle.
Acts 3:19-21 (KJV)
19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.
20 And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:
21 Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.
Oh Lord, I pray that people do repent before it is too late. I pray that they will understand the need to turn from their wicked ways, in order to have Your presence in their lives. May people no longer be caught up in their current lifestyle, that they feel no need to change. This is getting way to many people into trouble these days. It is causing them to seek the ways of the world instead of Your calling for their lives. What is sad, God, is that when I go on the streets, these people laugh at me and think I am nuts, when I am only out their witnessing the truths of the gospel to them. They think they have it made and what I am doing for God's kingdom is not necessary. It is so sad to think that they feel that hell will be where the best people will be at and they'll be having a good ol'time there. Wow, are they mistaken, Lord. Your Holy Spirit has spoken to me and these people will be punished for their sins in the lake of fire. I pray that the wicked people in this world will humble themselves and find mercy in You Lord. I know that there is still hope. Help me find such people, that they may be rescued and delivered into Your hands, dear God. I love to serve You and to see people find faith in You. I love You. Amen.
