“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.” (Romans 8:14-17)
Israel is God’s people. As Christians, we are grafted in as sons and daughters also. We all worship the same God. Christians are gentiles, and we should be so grateful to be part of the fold of Israel. We were once afar off until Jesus came and made a way for all people to be saved. As salvation is for the Jews, we are also given the same opportunity as they are. Nobody should feel like they are any better than the Jewish people just because they believe in Jesus. The thing is, God is our judge and we are not. People will therefore be judged according to their knowledge and upbringing. I would love for them to receive Jesus as their Messiah, but if they do not, God will judge them like the people of the Old Covenant. It is not up to us to say they are unsaved, for as Jesus said, salvation is of the Jews.
“Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” (John 4:22-24)
As Jesus said, the Jews worship the Father in spirit. He said that they are the true worshipers. What does this mean? It means that for us to be called in as sons and daughters of our Father also, this is a great privilege. We shouldn’t claim that we are in a better position than the Jewish people. For us to do this is to deny what Jesus said and say that salvation does not come from Israel or the Jewish people. My friends, it is a great privilege to be called into the fold of God, like those in Israel. In saying this, our brothers and sisters in Israel are at war and need our support. These people have been persecuted along with Christians people for centuries. Let’s not persecute them, but allow them into our lives with love and respect. This is what Jesus would do. God bless you all. In the Lord Jesus’s name. Amen.
There’s a lot of what is known as ‘Replacement Theory’ running around today. RT is a heresy that teaches that God has replaced the Jews with the gentiles-that he has abandoned the Jews. For that teaching to be correct, the entire OT would have to be thrown out as well as a lot of the NT. The Jews have ‘blinded eyes’ for now. Some come to Christ as Savior. Most do not. That will change in the Tribulation when we are told that the Nation of Israel will be saved. What that means, I’m not sure. But, God has not abandoned His People the Jews.
