The Mormon church says that Joseph Smith is the greatest of all prophets. See for yourself in their own official book of scripture, the Doctrine And Covenants below…
“Joseph Smith, the Prophet and Seer of the Lord, has done more, save Jesus only, for the salvation of men in this world, than any other man that ever lived in it. In the short space of twenty years, he has brought forth the Book of Mormon, which he translated by the gift and power of God, and has been the means of publishing it on two continents; has sent the fulness of the everlasting gospel, which it contained, to the four quarters of the earth; has brought forth the revelations and commandments which compose this book of Doctrine and Covenants, and many other wise documents and instructions for the benefit of the children of men; gathered many thousands of the Latter-day Saints, founded a great city, and left a fame and name that cannot be slain. He lived great, and he died great in the eyes of God and his people; and like most of the Lord’s anointed in ancient times, has sealed his mission and his works with his own blood; and so has his brother Hyrum. In life they were not divided, and in death they were not separated!” (Doctrine And Covenants 135:3)
Joseph Smith said he is not only the greatest prophet but also better than Jesus. See for yourself in their official history of the church documents below…
“Come on! ye prosecutors! Ye false swearers! All hell, boil over! Ye burning mountains, roll down your lava! For I will come out on the top at last. I have more to boast of than ever any man had. I am the only man that has ever been able to keep a whole church together since the days of Adam. A large majority of the whole have stood by me. Neither Paul, John, Peter, nor Jesus ever did it. I boast that no man ever did such a work as I. The followers of Jesus ran away from Him; but the Latter-day Saints never ran away from me yet.” (History of the Church:408-409)
So what does this mean? It means that the Mormon people really like to elevate their own prophets more than those of the Bible. Not only this, but Joseph Smith was an egotistical and prideful person, in saying that he had done more than Jesus. His own church may not agree with this statement, but still thinks that he is second to Jesus. Does this sound like people that know God and how He thinks? Absolutely not. They think they have the right to judge someone and to say they are this way or that way in the sight of God, but in reality they are using wishful thinking. These people are dreamers, especially when it comes to their extra-biblical beliefs. Just think of their core teachings of eternal marriage and works for the dead. These teachings may sound good on paper, but they are actually false and not Biblical. The people promoting them are also false. This is not God’s church.
Speaking of false religions like Mormonism, Paul said the following: “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.” (2 Corinthians 11:13-15)
As for the mind of Jesus, who is God, he already said who is the greatest prophet. “But what went ye out for to see? A prophet? yea, I say unto you, and more than a prophet. For this is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee. Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.” (Matthew 11:9-11) Mormons deny Jesus by elevating Joseph Smith as the greatest prophet, when really nine of his prophecies did not come to pass. You can find those failed prophecies HERE. This makes him a false prophet. And because he is the founder of Mormonism, this makes their church a cult, and not of God. More people need to warn these people of the wrath to come. Joseph Smith is in hell, and the people in this cult are on the same destructive path. Only Jesus can set them free from their false beliefs and save them. Amen.
