There is a big problem when it comes to the verses in the Book of Mormon. For one, many of them are a rip-off of the Bible. Their argument is that the Book of Isaiah was with the people in America, having left Jerusalem 100 years after his death. So that is why the verses show up. This would logically make sense if the writings were in fact written down on plates of brass. However, we see something entirely different when it comes to the Isaiah Scrolls. Yes, scrolls. According to the dead sea scrolls and other manuscript of Isaiah, they were written down on scrolls and not brass plates. To say that the Book of Isaiah was written down on plates makes you wonder if people ever heard of the dead sea scrolls. We have proof that this book and other ancient writings were written down on scrolls, not plates of brass. These same fictional characters in the Book of Mormon supposedly wrote on plates of gold. Good story, right? But where are golden or brass plates? Have we ever found plates of gold from the past when it comes to the Bible or ancient works about God? The answer is no. Speaking of the Book of Mormon, we even have verses that are a counterfeit to what we find in John, chapter 5, which is supposedly from 6BC. This is before Jesus was born and spoke these words about the resurrection. See for yourself the plagiarism found in the Book of Mormon…
“And I would that all men might be saved. But we read that in the great and last day there are some who shall be cast out, yea, who shall be cast off from the presence of the Lord; Yea, who shall be consigned to a state of endless misery, fulfilling the words which say: They that have done good shall have everlasting life; and they that have done evil shall have everlasting damnation. And thus it is. Amen.” (Helaman 12:25,26)
“For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself; And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man. Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.” (John 5:26-29)
Notice how the resurrection of life is changed to everlasting life, and the resurrection of damnation to everlasting damnation. To remove resurrection is very strange, but does make sense for a person who thinks they know better than the Bible authors. Joseph Smith was this type of person. If you did not already know this, Joseph Smith went so far as to create his own translation of the Bible. However, this was not a translation at all but a major change to the KJV Bible. You heard that right, the Joseph Smith Translation (or what they call the “Inspired Version Bible”), was not a translation but additions, deletions, rearrangements, and alterations of the KJV Bible. 3410 verses were changed in total! Would a prophet of God add or take away from the words of scripture? Absolutely not. This translation alone makes Joseph Smith a false prophet. We cannot trust this dead man, of whom is currently suffering in hell, while awaiting judgment. Soon enough he will be resurrected with the rest of the people that are dead. However, Joseph will be found with the people who will be resurrected to damnation, of which the lake of fire is their final destination. If you are a Mormon, resign today. Do it for Jesus.
