It is written in Isaiah 43, “ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. I, even I, am the Lord; and beside me there is no saviour.” (Isaiah 43:10,11) We only have one God and He is our Lord and Savior. Then in Isaiah 44, it is written “thus saith the Lord the King of Israel, and his redeemer the Lord of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.” (Isaiah 44:6) Our God is not only our Lord and Savior but also our Redeemer. He is the first and the last and beside Him, there is no God. This is what our God spoke to the people in the Old Testament times. And what do you think Jesus said of Himself? Jesus said in Revelation 21, “and he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.” (Revelation 21:6,7) Wow! Jesus just said that he is the first and the last or the beginning and the end. He even said that those that are thirsty and comes after Him shall enter into New Jerusalem and there they will drink of the water of life and inherit all things promised to them. And the best part is that Jesus will be our God and we will be His sons and daughters in His kingdom forever. Yes, Jesus said He is God and I believe it.
Many of the Samaritans came to meet Jesus In John 4 and were blown away by how He spoke and how He acted around them. First, the woman of Samaria knew that Jesus had to be the Christ, for He knew things that only she would know and of other things that only God should. It is said that “many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, which testified, He told me all that ever I did. So when the Samaritans were come unto him, they besought him that he would tarry with them: and he abode there two days. And many more believed because of his own word; And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.” (John 4:39-42) This they said unto Him, while He was with them, and He did not rebuke them or tell them they were wrong. For indeed, Jesus is the Messiah, which is interpreted the Christ. He is the Savior of the world. And because only God could be our Savior, as it reads in Isaiah 43, this means that Jesus is God. Mary even confirmed this fact about Jesus, her Son, in Luke 1, even before He was born. “And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, and my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.” (Luke 1:46,47) So what Jesus said in Revelation 21 about Him being our God is true. And anybody who says otherwise is not reading the Bible for themselves or is not open enough to see what God’s Word says. Amen. Jesus is God.
Let us pray:
Oh Lord, our God, I believe in You. I am so grateful to have You in my life. You are my Savior and have saved me from all my sins. Thank You, Jesus. You are my Redeemer, for only You could have paid the price for all mankind and become the last sacrifice for sin. Thank You for dying for our sins. This is one punishment that only You could fulfill. What a great God You are. I wish I could run into Your arms and be with You forever. But I will have to wait until this life is set and done. Until then, will I continue to call upon Your Name. I need Your presence in order to find fulfillment in this life. For my joy does not come from earthly things, but heavenly things alone. Because You are near me I am fulfilled. There is nothing else I need to be happy. Even does Your Spirit draw me closer to my family and my friends. You have come and lighted up my life for all to see. You are so good. I love You! Have my heart and do what You please. Take me places I have never gone before. Keep me from falling and lead me far from temptation. Keep me safe from the enemy. I am stronger because You have built up my faith. Lord, I love Your Words in the Bible. They are the roadmap to my life. And the Holy Spirit is my compass. What a great companion the Bible and the Spirit is. I can walk and not be weary. And only You could do this for a wretch like me. I had nothing going for me, but You came and changed everything. I want to say thank You for forgiving me and for showing Your kindness towards me. I owe everything I am now to You. I worship You, my King. I adore You, God. Amen.
